A curve was obviously coming and they threw a good one. Finally a little reward for patience. This show needs a very strong finishing kick the last 4 episodes to be worthwhile.

The mother character is probably the most insufferable person on the show.

but that is the hard thing about this show, we've been watching for two months, but on the show, she's only been mourning for nine days. Yeah, its nerve racking

I can't believe they turned a (boring) murder mystery into a massive guilt trip about poor Muslims.

It's completely divorced from reality and I resent the stereotype of Americans as a bunch of faceless bigots. The scene in the classroom was ridiculous.

The killer is obviously some white guy, probably the father's friend.

Finally caught the last episode last night, and it was perfect! They finally took the turn I was hoping for.

My god did they really spend the whole episode searching for chick detective's prick son? The previous episode builds up to the casino cliffhanger with tense music and they only end up spending 5 minutes on that lead. I guess it was a character/relationship building episode between the 2 detectives but why now? Feels like an overwrought last ditch effort to make the characters interesting and to try and grab some empathy from the audience. Bright side was no politics b/s or grieving mom scenes....oh wait. Also I find it funny that majority of the season has been focused on a complete false lead. Really episodes 2 to 9 can be cut and you could still end up here since the whole Muhammed/teacher lead was all for nought and almost nothing was gained from it besides the Adela lead. So in the end they're only going to spend 2 remaining episodes on the true lead. I'm ranting but I know I'll just keep watching because I'm a sucker and have to know who the killer is.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said. This week's episode was such a waste of time and I am glad I didn't watch it with commercials or I would have skipped it completely.

The kid has nothing to do with this investigation at all. Linden's family troubles has no relevance to "The Killing" which is the NAME OF THE SHOW. It's not "Family Matters." The teacher plot killed 6 episodes. Complete waste of time.

The ONLY type of justification I can think of for the episode is that obtaining a search warrant takes time. But come on, this is a TV show. Things have to move faster than that to keep things interesting.

I don't know how this show even got on the air or why it had good reviews coming out. As a viewer, this show has severely disappointed. A good ending can't rescue 2 months worth of crappy episodes. Consider me not interested for season 2.

very disappointing, i don't have a problem with spending episodes on wrong suspects, any investigative show does, but to take time out now to do that? that was just wrong

    Pathetic ending.
To drag the show out like that and not give any satisfaction in the final episode was a jerk move. While I already hate season-ending cliffhangers, the feeling is multiplied after being faithful to a slow-moving show.
Whenever the show resumes, I will have no patience if it wanders all over the place again. In fact, they probably shouldn't have bothered to renew it.
