Bogans 4 points, has been a complete bum this whole playoffs.

Too bad they couldn't get an OJ Mayo, JR Smith at the trade deadline when they attempted.

Heck, they can use another play maker at the 2 position.

That has to be their number one priority this off-season.

Should've traded Omer Asik for Courtney Lee when they had the chance.

Yeah, Bogans has been useless the whole year.

Can't really say Chicago didn't see it coming, I can understand them not wanting to trade a good big man, but if they lose this series most likely it'll be due to a lack of offense (Lee is no star, but Bogans just sucks and Lee's offense along with his solid defense would help)

    asik > lee

    asik's future >>>> lee

the bulls are who they are b/c of their big men. they can always bring in a serviceable SG in the future.

asik would have helped us TREMENDOUSLY.

Asik is huge for them on defense but their lack of a SG is finally killing them. They'll get one this offseason, as for now...not good.

If they can include Boozer in a trade to upgrade that SG spot, it'll be a double-win. Gibson needs more minutes and Boozer should be able to fetch something decent from a clueless GM.

I wonder what the Pistons will decide to do with Rip Hamilton considering the little rift he had with John Kuester. IIRC, he sat 22 out of a possible 23 games in a period starting January 12 and continuing towards the end of February. Not like he was hurt or anything, either.

If they could've gotten jr smith I hadn't heard that rumor but if they had I think that could've been the missing piece that they need right now

I don't think the Bulls expected to be as successful as they are. Giving up Asik for a guy like Courtney Lee would have been stupid. They tried to pick up a SG for the right price and could not. Better luck this summer.

Is it just coincidence that at one time we had Bogans as our starting SG under JVG.

A perimeter scorer like Lee would certainly have helped, but as others have said, Chicago did the right thing by not trading Asik for Lee. The Gibson/Asik combination off the bench is a huge weapon for them right now.

I think Chicago's bigger problem is like OKC's in that both teams need better offense from the low post. Boozer attracts double teams, but he hasn't able to take advantage by passing to the open teammate when the double team comes. In fact, I'm surprised by how ineffective he's been as a playmaker in this series.

Noah is a good passer but cannot draw in the defense like Boozer does.

Couple things to consider.... first, the Bulls are very careful to only use Asik in situations that he can succeed. There are certain matchups that he will struggle against. I don't know that he would be nearly as effective getting 30 minutes a night. Also, he will never be a good offensive player.

Second... this Bulls may never be in this situation again. They are in the ECF, and Lee would quite possibly be the difference. This season is wide open, the Bulls may very well win a title with Lee.... so, giving up Asik, probably would be worth it if the Bulls ultimately come up short.

Asik is a good player, and the Rockets would love to have him, but there is a big difference between being a solid bench defender, and a starter.

would they be interested in say...

Kevin Martin? The team defense would make up for his lack of D skill

i'll take gibson or asik and ronnie brewer for him

Bogans sucks. This guy was a fringe player on a crap Rockets team a few years back. Who didn't see this coming?

It reminds me of the success we had with Bogans and Bowen starting. When the duo were healthy, that was the BEST they could do to "build around" 2 all-stars.

A perfect fit for chicago would be manu ginobili, and maybe they got the pieces to get him. He is a veteran leader, a proven winner, who can score, create his own shot, create for others, play d, shoot the 3, clutch, he can play some 1 and 3 also, if u want to go small. And at this point in his career he may not be that expensive, Okc can also use a guy like him. This young teams need veteran stars to help them grow... guys like manu ginobili, paul pierce, ray allen, etc.
