Except Condi Rice has pretty publicly spoken positively about a lot of Obama policies and the Obama administration in general. She has also publicly come to the defense of the administration against conservative attacks. Seems like she'd be everything you are against.

What specific policies are you talking about? I know she was extremely proud Obama got elected and defended his Foreign Policies but thats all I can remember for now. It's not a surprise she would defend his foreign policy since Obama hasnt really changed anything from Bush in that department. We are still in these expensive never ending wars.

except that obama has put a timetable on both wars. I love this criticism that we haven't immediately moved out of our little camp sites

My vote will probably be for Gary Johnson in the primary and Obama in the general election.

You and Pgab are hilarious. So anyone questioning Obama is automatically a Obama hater? For the record I do not hate Obama. I think all I did was ask what policies of Obama that Rice has publically supported since Major made that claim.

It would be nice if you guys can stop trying to derail every single thread into a Obama hater vs a Obama lover thread.

    Thanks

So the recession ended in '09? I didn't get that memo.

June of '09 to be precise (this is when the economy hit it's lowest point in the downturn):

I don't think hitting it's low point means that it's over.

Technically, a recession ends when you hit the low point. From then on, the economy is experiencing growth, so you're in the expansion phase.

That said, the connection Commodore made from that to Obama being in trouble is tenuous at best. Certainly, if unemployment is still around 9% by election time, Obama is going to have some problems - but there's a long way to go until then. Most indications are it will be down by then, though it's unclear how much. 9% is a major problem for Obama. 8% is still potentially problematic depending on the GOP candidate & campaign; in the 7% range puts Obama in great shape.

Well that's when real GDP started growing again. This usually indicates the end.

Rebuttal on what? This is a GOP primary thread. Not a I love Obama thread.

Plus I'll believe it when I see it. Think about it... the war situation wouldn't be any different right now under McCain, Romney or even Hillary if they were elected.
