This "we don't know what she would do with it" argument is illogical. The purse obviously belongs to the person on the other side of the string. Anyone taking 5 seconds out of their life to think about the situation would be able to see that--it is obvious. By taking the purse, it's not as though there's the prospect of her turning it in to the police department to be returned to someone, because she actively took it from who it already belonged to. Why would someone take somebody else's object unless they actually wanted to KEEP the object? I don't know what the heck that woman was thinking. Did she legitimately feel entitled to keeping that purse? It was obviously a joke and she took the purse off the string and then proceeded to overreact when confronted. Let's stop acting like this woman was going out of her way to do her good deed for the day. She was simply taking a purse that didn't belong to her and obviously belonged to someone else. You can't just TAKE it because it's there... common courtesy would dictate that you simply leave it alone (especially because it OBVIOUSLY BELONGS TO SOMEONE). The fact that the lady had the audacity to return and rip the purse off the string shows in of itself her less than valiant intentions.
We don't know her intentions either way. Did she want to keep the purse? Maybe. Did she wantto return it, maybe. We don't know! The second attempt where she actually rips the purse off the string I think it has more to do with the fact she was embarrassed than anything else when her behavior was more embarrassing than that. Either way we don't know her intentions, all we can do is assume.
The second time around yes but I don't think she was taking it for what it was or its contents, I think she was just embarassed about the joke.
Why was she embarrassed? Because it looked like she was running towards the purse as if she was going to take it, and she knew it. Thats why she looked stupid and thats why she came back. That means she was intending on taking the purse the first time. So lets not be in denial and just say what really happened.
Putting people in danger for no reason. If he is doing it on the sidewalk, I wouldn't care. But this is on the street. If someone gets tailed because of it he's just gonna run off. But when someone takes away his $3 purse he tries to get it back. What a loser.
Their upbringing is different than many black kids. Their parents are much more strict and discipline them when they don't excel in school. Usually the mom in an Asian family doesn't work making it easier to make suer their kids don't touch drugs.
This thread isn't in the D&D. I don't have time to back up every statement I make with a source. People don't care about these issues, so it's not gonna be posted on anywhere. Just look at the comments on YouTube. That's how most are. Some have this belief that racism is going to die out as the elder pass away. It's not going anywhere. Now tell me where do you think the former two posters fit? Why would I want to debate with these clowns?
She went for the purse the second time because she wanted to end the prank and show those kids they are not that funny. I am amazed at the amount of people in here implying she was trying to "steal" the purse for monetary value, and then implying that the actions she took were because she is black She was simply trying to end the prank. Plain and simple. She wasnt stealing it because she needs money. She was simply pissed off.
Why did other people look embarrassed and scared? They fell for the prank. She just handled it the wrong way. How do you know other people in the video were going to rightfully return the bag? You don't so let's not sit here and assume we know the intentions of anybody in that video except the pranksters.
I just read what you posted, didn't go to the link. What you posted said that the police THOUGHT a certain percentage of a group committed criminal activity, it didn't sound factual.
