1. ... and from out of left field: The Way We Were (Redford/Streisanddd) Can't not watch that when I see it on. 2. another oldie: The Day of the Condor (Redford)
I'm sure you meant Three Days of the Condor. Good choice; great flick. And speaking of Flick, I cast my vote for "Election" <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VXynyyDNz-4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The Godfather is very much about politics. Also, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence. If you don't want to count those, then All the President's Men.
I can't believe I forgot about this movie: State of the Union Tracy and Hepburn. 1946 Back-door, throwback politics. I think I am just about to pull this one out and watch it right now.
The Best Man Gore Vidal's 1964 campaign classic. Fonda and Cliff Robertson, Ronald Reagan. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057883/
I must say, I am impressed. There are a lot of movies in this list I didn't think younger people would have a clue about. Throw in a box set of The West Wing and there's a Summer worth of Netflix right there.
