Looks like he wants to be in New York

All kidding aside, I don't understand why a lot of people on this board are enamored with this guy.
He's tall, young, and athletic; Yes, but do we really think that he would be able to be the C of a championship caliber team?
In my opinion, Deandre's ceiling is the 4th or 5th best player on a great team - a Perkins type of player (4 years 34.8mil). Instead, he's going to get paid like the 2nd/3rd best player of a team (5 year 60mil).

This is why we won't get him. For 5-7 mil/year he's a reasonable contract with lots of upside. However, that is too low of an offer and Clippers will match. For 10-12 mil/year, he's severely overcompensated and will hamper our championship aspirations + salary cap situation for the duration of his contract. This will be Jerome James part II.

So, this is imo, fool's gold and not the answer we're looking for.

i see your point, but to me deandre jordan could become that "tyson chandler" type of defensive anchor.

Saw him play a bunch in HS I know its HS but he was less than dominating. You would think a future NBA player would dominate at the HS level. Never been impressed. Career back up center a job I would love to have none the less. Not a franchise player though.

all these things you guys are saying ive heard before, yes he was immature and yes he might have had an attitude problem. but if he was still like that to this day, i dont think he wouldve said yes to letting me take a picture with him.

i think he has matured and you can tell when he plays. defense takes discipline and not just and "athletism" to jump and block the ball. i still hope he comes to houston, but thats just me...

i believe potbelly sandwiches are small so 2 of them wouldn't be bad.

not a big fan of potbelly. same with deandre jordan.
