hey everyone, long time rockets fan but recently joined clutchfans. well anyway i met deandre jordan at potbelly's on 59 across from the princes. (i believe thats 59 and kirby i think) im not allowed to post pictures yet but you can see him on my facebook. just thought id let others know. didnt get to talk to him much but i told him to "come home to houston" as i was leaving the restaurant. p.s. no homo but hes a beastly looking fellow. oh yeah if you just wanna see a size ratio of how tall he is my facebook is Andy Nguyen. im around 5"9 and i was at his chest....
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1548270387 link to my facebook in case the nonbelievers are out there, and i do believe he is a houston native if im not mistaken
Looks like he wants to be in New York  All kidding aside, I don't understand why a lot of people on this board are enamored with this guy. He's tall, young, and athletic; Yes, but do we really think that he would be able to be the C of a championship caliber team? In my opinion, Deandre's ceiling is the 4th or 5th best player on a great team - a Perkins type of player (4 years 34.8mil). Instead, he's going to get paid like the 2nd/3rd best player of a team (5 year 60mil). This is why we won't get him. For 5-7 mil/year he's a reasonable contract with lots of upside. However, that is too low of an offer and Clippers will match. For 10-12 mil/year, he's severely overcompensated and will hamper our championship aspirations + salary cap situation for the duration of his contract. This will be Jerome James part II. So, this is imo, fool's gold and not the answer we're looking for.
i see your point, but to me deandre jordan could become that "tyson chandler" type of defensive anchor.
nah not really he was still eating. btw the dude eats alot... figures for a big athletic basketball player. he had like 2 sandwhiches and 3 drinks just for himself....
Saw him play a bunch in HS I know its HS but he was less than dominating. You would think a future NBA player would dominate at the HS level. Never been impressed. Career back up center a job I would love to have none the less. Not a franchise player though.
He went to my HS and all I heard was the he was lazy as hell and just a dick in general to the coaches.
Pretty much I didnt play basketball, but the guy never did anything but stand around when I saw him, he was never putting in work like you would imagine an athlete like that would
all these things you guys are saying ive heard before, yes he was immature and yes he might have had an attitude problem. but if he was still like that to this day, i dont think he wouldve said yes to letting me take a picture with him. i think he has matured and you can tell when he plays. defense takes discipline and not just and "athletism" to jump and block the ball. i still hope he comes to houston, but thats just me...
i believe potbelly sandwiches are small so 2 of them wouldn't be bad. not a big fan of potbelly. same with deandre jordan.
