Heh, I doubt any of those guys would be any good at anchoring our defense. Why, you don't like the Dunking Czechoslovakian(not quite the ring of "Dunking Dutchman") or the UnderKanter?

    As of today:

    1. Cavaliers - Kyrie Irving PG
    2. Timberwolves - Derrick Williams SF (probably will be traded)
    3. Jazz - Brandon Knight PG
    4. Cleveland - Enes Kanter, PF/C
    5. Raptors - THIS IS OUR PROBLEM lets hope it is Valanciunas tho I don´t think it makes sense for them
    6. Wizards - Jan Vesely SF/PF (this might not make sense, but surely they will not draft a PG)
    7. Kings - Kemba Walker PG (To Houston if Kemba is available)

We like Kemba Walker (according to sources:rolleyes:), but reporters say that Toronto is going to draft a PG, so as of today, this is probably the situation, but still a lot of time left until draft day.

And about trading Scola, don´t forget about his knee, love the guy tho.

Best case scenario right now, we trade Scola for the 7th without giving up the 14th pick (maybe DM can even extract more from Sac), we land Kemba with the 7th and Alec Burks with the 14 (or maybe Marshon Brooks is a sleeper???). And now we have a Lowry and Martin package to go very strong in trade talks. This of course, if we fully believe in these 2 guys going forward.

(Not saying we should trade them/sell high, but we could do that opening other doors to improve the roster)

I really like this train of thought. I think:

    Scola + Hill + 23 + 38

    should net

    #7 + Thompson

With the 7th & 14th picks I would target MARCUS Morris or Jordan Hamilton @7 and Markieff Morris or Faried or Klay Thompson @ 14

    Lowry/Dragic
    Martin/Lee
    "MARCUS Morris"/C-Bud/T-will
    Patterson/Hayes
    "Markieff Morris"/Thompson/Yao/Miller

Both of the MORRIS twins play with DEFENSIVE intensity (which we lack), a will to win, come from winning programs, work hard, fit our team culture, gives us size at multiple positions (which we lack), gives us 1-2 tweeners (which we lack that most competitive teams have), and gives us 3pt shooting range at any position 3-5.

From there we hope like hell we can sign Dalembert to trade him, Martin, Miller (expiring contract) and a future pick for a star.

THINK LONG TERM. WE WILL GET BETTER DEFENSIVELY WITHOUT LOSING SPACING AND OFFENSE. WE GET 2 DIFFERENT 2 WAY PLAYERS FOR MULTIPLE POSITIONS.

    Would the Rockets keep #14?

Like Scola for #7 straight up?...I'd do that.

I like this right here....don't necessarily agree with your pick selections though.

How is Kemba Walker better than Lowry?

ANSWER...you wont know until they develop, but I would take a 6'10" & 6'9" 2-way player with size, defense, and range, over an undersized 1-way player to play a position that we already have filled.

If we move up in the draft specifically for Kemba Walker, Lowry is as good as gond in a trade with Martin...

Lowry + Martin trade sounds good and all but if you dont get Dwight Howard or Chris Paul in return then whats the point ?

BTW if you trade for Kemba Walker, why in the hell would you still go after Chris Paul...wouldn't you be betting that Walker is the next Chris Paul by doing that ???

The draft is strong on foreign big men, and decent at the point guard position.

It is very weak at the top in my opinion, and average at the end of round 1. The second round is a toss up, but remember, usually if a draft is terrible in round 1, some sleepers emerge in round 2.

I don't understand your comparison. We already have the PF position filled as well, it would make more sense to draft a C.

and what CENTER at 7, 14, or 23 could make a difference...Kanter will be gone by pick 5, Byombo is a PF, and the 7ft Lucas would be another Thabeet project that we would be gambeling on...after them who? I say draft Markief (6'10") at 14 and play him at C. He's got the size, toughness, rebounding, defense, intensity, aggressivenes and shooting touch to be a presence at the C without being a liability on the offensive end.

@ #7, if we trade up, yea we should take a shot at someone with more potential, but if we get Kemba Walker then we will eventually have the "brooks" problem all over again. You would have a back log at the G spot with Lowry, Martin, Lee, Dragic, Walker, T-will...who plays, who sits, who gets traded?

The preferred choice would be to see Lee and Dragic get traded but that wont net you the franchise talent we all seek.

Kevin Martin to the Timberwolves for Derrick Williams.
Luis Scola to the Kings for Enes Kanter or Bismack Biyombo.

    Tank for 2012...

    Kyle Lowry/Goran Dragic
    Courtney Lee/Terrence Williams
    Derrick Williams/Chase Budinger
    Chuck Hayes/Patrick Patterson
    Enes Kanter/Bismack Biyombo?

I'm intrigued by Biyombo, ridiculous wingspan, athleticism, and apparently has a constant motor, while being pretty smart. Those last two qualities differentiating himself from a Stromile Swift sort player.

Everyone pretty much assumes that it was Scola being offered. Did i miss something or is this just the usual Clutchfans banter?

The two obvious "impactful veterans" on the team are Kevin Martin and Luis Scola. They traded us Kevin Martin. Its not Clutchfans banter. It is Sherlock Holmesian detective work. Or common sense. One of those.
