Are we gonna keep on living in a fantasy world in which Harden isn't > Evans?

He was a top 5 pick. How is that a find?

Tyreke Evans doesn't fit in OKC at all. I don 't think many people have argued that they should have taken Evans over Harden.

Stephen Curry is the one name I have heard brought up so that is a better comparison.

There are some here who have said Harden was a bust and either Reke or Steph Curry should have been selected by OKC. Hmm.

The only thing different for Harden right now is he is more consistent and is playing more minutes.

The people who said they should have drafted Evans must forgot to look at how the team is built.

Evans and Westbrook backcourt would be a disaster.

Did the ESPN commentators say that Boston had to choose between Jeff Green and James Harden in the Perkins trade?

The Celts wanted Harden instead of Green. OKC didn't give them a choice and said it must be Green.

Choosing Harden enables the Thunder to be more scary in the future...You pretty much know what you are getting in Curry and Reke because they are regular starters ... Anything extra Harden gives with more PT and opportunities only helps the Thunder going forward.....

I remember the days when people used to trash Harden.

    Oh how times have changed.

Terry would be a beast if he was that big.

Going forward, Harden and Westbrook can be a much scarier version of TP and Manu. Maynor is OK, but the reason he was so successful last night was because he realized Barea couldn't guard him.

I think Harden, Durant, and Westbrook should spend the offseason developing and complimenting each other's games...There is no reason why they shouldnt dominate games offensively....They should account for 70-75% of the scoring for the Thunder on a nightly basis(whether points , assists)

This is what I'm thinking. We'll probably come to loathe this kid because he can make it rain from anywhere and when he gets hot, he's a lot like Terry. Ugh...

No offense but he is a role player drafted #3 overall. Is that the standard for a great acquisition?

I somewhat agree with you. I don't know if OKC drafted him for need, or best player available. I think he is like an insurance policy if the Thunder need some points in a hurry, or if Westbrook or Durant gets injured. He can help the scoring load if something happens to those two.

So you ascribe to the draft the best player strategy rather than draft for need?

I'm happy for the guy but he wasn't even successfully fulfilling their need until these playoffs. He was really, really inconsistent or passive his first 2 seasons leading up to here.

Compared to the success Memphis has had with OJ Mayo and Thabeet at the 2 spot? Harden at 3rd is a great acquisition.

I think Mayo would have flourished in OKC...Mayo isnt as bad as player as this season shows...He'll bounce back with a 18 -20 point season(probably somewhere else)....You dont get the kind of hype he had by being ok..

Adam Morrison at #3 is nodding his head.
