That's pretty pitiful. When a coach thinks he has a better opportunity with a Golden State team rather than Houston. First he says he has other obligations right now beside coaching and the second the Warriors brass starts interviewing people, he gets right ON THE JOB.

    Sad.

Morey has made this coaching job look like the worst gig out there.

    Sigh. I miss CD.

We dodged a bullet by Mike Brown 'rejecting' us.

I'm happy we're not hiring him but it must say something about the Rockets' plans and organization to think that a coach would SO QUICKLY pass on us to join another team with that TEAM BEING GOLDEN STATE!

First of all I am glad Brown didnt want to come here, and the reason for that is because he didnt want to go through the long interview process. I read that from ESPN. I think that we really dodged a bullet.

And Morey is way better than CD, just compare his draft record and trades. Morey got us Artest when he was good, Lee, AB, Lowry, Scola, Patterson, ect. So many of the players CD got werent great, and the good ones like Clyde wanted to actually come to Houston.

At the end of the day we dont want someone who doesnt want us, Brown doesnt deserve any better treatment than any of the other coaches so if he didnt want to play by our rules, then I am more than ok that he wants to go to GS.

Well DUH!! Here we actually want to win. GS gives him a bigger cushion as far as tolerating losing seasons.

CD would have been smart enough to not even consider Mike Brown. So, the result would have been the same as far as Brown is concerned.

Well, Clyde WANTING to come here is credit to CD. If Morey were GM, Clyde would've passed on us like every superstar since Morey came here

Not really, he wanted to play in Houston, where he played in university and wanted to play with his buddy Hakeem who also just won a championship. It was his last chance to try to get one and he did, but it is more credit to Hakeem than to CD. Look what he did after the Hakeem years, not really that great.

He didn't "pick GS", they were the only team that showed any interest. The Rockets were not interested in Brown to begin with.

Maybe he knows Rox will reject him so he grabbed what was available.

Right, it was kind of like, "well I'll reject them before they reject me". Better to make a show of rejecting us than to look like the girl at the party no one wants to dance with.

It's like if you hosted your own "The Bachelor" show and had to pick from a long line of women. That one woman who picks her nose, doesn't like to take baths, and has no manners when it comes to eating just quits the show before getting around to eliminating her.
