Just like with anything else, moderation is the key. I think anything above 2-3 cups is a little excessive. I don't doubt the study, but drinking six cups a day is likely to lead to other long term problems. There are bound to be dangers in keeping your body's pH level that acidic. I know in my case I would get little/bad sleep if I had that much caffeine, which is an entirely different problem that can cause long-term issues.

exactly. No one with half a brain will stop eating fruits and veggies because they canjust have some coffee instead. People drink coffee for whatever reasons, it's just interesting that there may be supplemental benefits
Have you ever made a post on this BBS that has come out of your brain and onto the keyboard fully intact the way you envisioned it? I spend half of the time trying to deconstruct your garbled version of English before I can even get to the inevitable turd of an idea you had. As lynus and max pointed out, it seems you failed at reading comprehension... again.
I'm starting to think this dude probably has freaking nightmares about Apple. I've never seen someone so obsessed. Protip: Contribute to the tipjar so you can edit your mangled attempts at sentences.
Oh great. I gave up drinking coffee daily about 2-3 years ago at work and really don't need it anymore. My blood pressure dropped after I stopped drinking it. Now I only drink a cup on long road trips I take once a month or once every other month.
Yeah that's because you have only had poor coffee. The more stale the beans, the more bitter and gross it gets.
No, I've had good coffee. Really good, in fact. So good it actually tasted decent to me. But the acidity always gets me. And if it's really strong (i.e. has grounds in it), I get a case of moes' runs.
Is this a subjective feeling, or has it been back by studies? Thought I read it (or at least caffeine) doesn't really help with that. Maybe a placebo effect. Though drinking coffee/caffeine for a while and then suddenly stopping would cause issues. I'm not a coffee drinker though, so may very well have cherry picked some things (might have been primarily about caffeine, not coffee, now that I think about it).
Was gonna comment on that, read about that recently. Coffee for me is FILLING, and I'm a big eater. Or its coffee isnt anything I can "guzzle down". After 10 oz, thats enough for me.
yeah if you think the qualification of strong coffee is it has grounds in it, I am gonna say you have not had good coffee. Also not all beans are high acidity.
From the stand point of actually helping you stay wake, that's not entirely true. Caffeine basically helps you stay awake by blocking the adenosine receptor sites (by taking their place instead), so the adenosine molecules never make it to their destination and thus your brain gets the signals that you're tired much more slowly. It's a false prop up. That being said, I love coffee in the mornings an interesting read can be found here... http://health.howstuffworks.com/wellness/drugs-alcohol/caffeine3.htm
