honestly you're right...Its not magnified because he hasnt discovered the craft of flopping yet....But soon he will realize the perks of being a great flopper...

i think his frame helps. there's no explanation for a guy like him averaging 11 ft attempts in the playoffs.

Honestly I think Dirk would be more valuable to a team pursuing a championship than any contemporary rival superstar. At this point I'd rather have him than any combination of D. Howard, Lebron, D. Wade, Bosh, Melo, D. Will, Paul, etc..... He conserves himself by just shooting it at an unbelievably unguardable rate. This time of efficiency let's him exert himself for a final rebound or drive to the basket and prolongs his career. I believe Lebron will break down long before Dirk. And overall Dirk is officially > Lebron.

Lebron relies a lot on his athleticism

once he loses some (not anytime soon) but when he does he'll

have to depend on his broke ass jumper

at what age do you suppose he loses his athletism enough to be "unLebron"like?....Because Im thinking at about 32/33...By that time, he would have solidified his status as an "all-time great"!!!!...

Dude he's about 26 1/2 turning 27 sometime in August. You do notice certain things about LBJ right? Like his strange foot orientation (foot juts outwards) does put tremendous stress on the knees because of the alignment. I think Lebron is due for a major injury in this regard, I'm not wishing it but biomechanics will impose otherwise. Look at how much the Heat struggle to play a complete team game with their current roster. Basically Bosh, James, Wade and some fillers that are inadequate. He's probably not going to win a championship any time soon and I do see so many deficiencies in his game regardless of sharing a team with Wade. Dirk's game can just do so much more damage with less effort and any person that takes off their media goggles can clearly see this.

correction meant to say Lebron turns 27 in December. I'd still have Dirk over him either way.

He will be an all-time great without the ring....But wont be considered "one of the greats" without it!!!... He's the best I've seen since Jordan as far as skill-level...But of course , I expect most of yall to disagree

you serious???...foot outwards??......If a 7footer can dribble the ball up court constantly , make a career out of shooting awkward one-legged shots without tweaking something , then surely Lebron can make it to 32/33 playing the way he's currently playing...Your anti-Lebronism is showing emphatically right now mane

b/c his role is just to score? i don't see his team demands him to make plays for others, shut the other guy down, or having play top help defense?

you know, those things takes energy.

Dude, just face it, Lebron get's into scoring droughts and has to work so much harder than Dirk to score. Can you not see this? Heck we swap out Martin now and get LBJ, in a fantasy situation, he could not help our team as much as Dirk. Dirk has a shot release that is not defendable because of his height. It's not about Lebron hate but you look at him without the ESPN high lights skewing your perception and you can clearly see that Dirk is the overall better player. He doesn't do ferocious dunks etc and has somewhat choked in the past but so has Lebron.

His shot release makes him a better player...check....Our team would be better off with Dirk than Lebron...check....Only thing I commend you on, is somehow, you have me defending Lebron in a Mavericks vs Thunder thread!!!!...I think I can speak for everyone when I say "wrong place , wrong time"...

Ibaka on Dirk = Pau on Dirk. Its going to be a quick series if they ****ing wake the **** up and realize that Dirk is like borderline SG.

dirk's explosion in this and last series has A LOT to do with who is guarding him. pau and ibaka are interior defenders. they have no chance guarding dirk outside.

it was why dirk wasn't as dominant vs the blazers b/c they had guys you can throw at him. vs portland, he only shot 45%.

vs lakers? 55%. last night? 80%

durant and thabo MUST be on dirk for the majority of the game. they have to make him put it on the floor.

He's going to back those guys down or shoot right over them. There's no stopping a shooter when he's on.

The "lost art of the mid-range jumper" is back with vengeance. Off of 1 foot, twisting, turning, fading away, banking it off the backboard.
