I'd rather listen to Randy Newman narrating a snuff film than be subjected to Mumford and Sons egregious display of attempted folk rock. ****ing sellout mashup artists. Its like they said "Hey guys lets be the British version of Kings of Leon" I've never been to ACL, but I'd love to see TV on the Radio (I'd almost buy a day pass just for them) Cut Copy Bright Eyes Death from above 1979 Iron and Wine Twin Shadow
Stevie wonder Cee lo Fitz and the tantrums Tv on the radio Chromeo Skrillex Damn they got my money. Should be a great show
How can I become privy to the after shows? Last year I would have loved to catch the Lucero or Monsters of Folk after shows. This year I'd like to know where the shows are, how to get tickets, etc... what do I need to do?
For the official ones, just keep an eye on the ACL site. They'll probably announce them sometime later this month.
Yeah I bought mine around that time too and started freaking out when it asked me to set up an account and password. Lucky to get my hands on 4 tickets though.
tried to get some tix too late today...bummed to see them already sold out. only wanted 2 of the friday tix
you used to be able to get a handy behind the 7/11 for five bucks. now it's a valero, times they ara changin'.
i never cared either way about bright eyes till they played in dallas a few years ago and "conner" started going off on texas - this fey little prick deserves a texas-style beatdown for these comments... and i have first-hand confirmation of "conner" being a spoiled, whiny little douchebag who complains too much. ill see yall at hipster-acl, otherwise known as funfunfun fest.
those are up to 140, I've lived in Austin for 5 years and never been. I may have to pony up this year.
every year it gets bigger. just like SXSW. I didn't even think that ACL last year was that good, but the amount of people who go now has increased big time.
The crowd is pretty much what's kept me from going before, but I need to start getting my monies worth out of living in Austin.
