after erving, there isn't a single player that i'd be willing to pay the cost of a #2 pick to acquire. i'd also take any of the current young rockets over any player of the same position in the draft. i would consider moving scola (age, contract, etc...) if there was a good legit center in the draft, but there isn't and the wolves don't need a PF.
Of all the things the timberwolves need to keep them out of the lotto next year, im not sure chuck is that player.
You can laugh all you want about this being a weak draft. But if the opportunity to snag Kanter or Derrick Williams (provided he ends up projecting as a SF) comes along you have to take it.
Kevin Martin and Brad Miller for #2 and rights to Rubio or Wes Johnson. (In before someone suggests that I'm smoking the cheebah for that pipe dream trade)
Kevin Love. If only someone was smart enough to come up with the idea of selling high on a certain SG for a high draft pick...
I think they like Martin and they have a hole at that position... If Daryl sees Kanter as an all-star center... who knows.
I'm sorry smoothie, but I disagree, from following this draft closely I think there's a some very good players worth the 2nd overall pick. Most notably Derrick Williams and Enes Kanter, we have no one on our roster that can even compare to this two both physically or skill wise. These two IMO are worth trading Martin, who I'm assuming would be the guy that the Wolves want from our roster.
I agree, and a top ten scorer might just get it done. Kanter would be my guy, even though he's a 4. He reminds me of Zbo.
yeah i was kidding...but it kind of goes with what happened to battier....role playing vet traded for a #2. It's a bad move for Minny. You don't trade a #2 for "veteran help" when you suck and are as young as they are. Any vet worth a #2 will make a lot of money, why clog up your cap space with someone who's not part of your core group? They really do need a chuck hayes, but not for a #2.
It's not useless if they are getting veteran help in addition to those picks. And those picks may be used to help acquire veteran help later on. If they end up needing financial relief, they could even sell them. Picks are never useless.
