I repped you for this thread. Even though I've read the books and discuss them in the other thread, you were proactive in dealing with the situation. Even if I don't post in this one, I will enjoy reading it.

 

LOL..I'm glad you started. After about episode 2 or 3 I stopped going to the other thread because I was getting hints at things that hadn't been shown yet. I have found the Games of Thrones viewer guide on HBO.com to be extremely helpful. They update the information immediately after each episode and its done by the show so you know you aren't getting any spoilers.

 

I think it would be cool for the people who also read the series can tell us newbies how the episode strayed from the book.

 

Do we really want to play with that fire in this new, spoiler free thread? I can see that kind of information leading to more information leading to spoilers everywhere

 

You're right, it's a slippery slope; some people cant help themselves, especially when it comes to a good story. I do find the differences between the book and tv series insightful and helpful.

I was hoping it would be possible to have some spoiler free discussion with the book readers and the new fans. There were some things that I have read that the TV series took liberties with that were explained and not "spoilery". Like Renly's relationship, Drogo's first time with his wife, the ages of the main characters.

 

The time between episodes/chapters (takes months just to get to where they are going in this show). Location of Dire wolves that maybe weren't seen in episodes because of the difficulty with the wolves on set. S**t like that. Hardy a spoiler IMO.

Damn, nearly everyone in this show is a backstabber....but then they all show a little humane side too.

I guess it's only a matter of time till we learn the hound's douche brother secretly has a heart of gold or is fiercely loyal............

These threads are improperly titled. I wish the op had changed the title. You can't search for 'game of thrones' because the bbs search doesn't understand it with the brackets.
