I guess that all depends on how he feels about the Rockets.

I wonder if they'll be able to sign Battier?

5th seed next season? Not sure about that. One thing's for sure though... we end up 9th seed AGAIN.

I don't think they will. There is no point. At this stage Rudy Gay is a better defender than Battier.

Yep. Also we're going to be, "one star away from contention".

    Year after year.

All in the name of "HEY LOOK!!! WE ARE THE BEST TEAM IN NBA HISTORY TO NEVER MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!!"

McGrady picked AGAINST his OWN team's success WHILE they were playing the Lakers. While he was still considered a member of that team.

Caron Butler is injured and out of the playoffs for the Mavs. Do you think before the Mavs played the Lakers that Caron Butler is going to say "The LAKERS are are going to win the title"

Lowry is saying his EX-team who he hasn't played with in 2 YEARS will improve. Thats after they already got knocked out the playoffs and both his team and his ex-team were sent home. So it wasnt like Lowry was going against his own team's success. And he didnt say Memphis was going to get the ultimate prize, which basically ELIMINATES your team from consideration.

As for this lame ass thread....he's not wrong.

Grizzlies are a top 5 squad in the west next year...and that's a 50+ win team next year.

TheFakest, you need your head examined.

How is this the same as T-Mac picking against HIS OWN TEAMMATES in a playoff series by saying the Lakers would win it all?? The Rockets aren't in the playoffs, the Grizzlies are OBVIOUSLY better than us right now, and by saying they are top 5, he's only calling attention to how good they are. Would it be a big deal if Lowry came out and said, "Miami and Chicago are for sure in the top 3 seeds in the East next year"?? No, so why is this any different??

T-Mac literally picked against the Rockets while we PLAYING the Lakers.....and on top of it, his broke-ass was on the BENCH. Most guys would at least support their own team, and say something like, "You know, the Lakers are good, and if they can get past my guys, I like their chances.....but I don't see them getting past my guys ;)" but T-Mac didn't give the Rockets his FAKE blessings. It was a punk move, and it's things like that that make me not miss the guy one bit.

It's simple. Lowry is saying having Gay back alone moves them up 3 spots. They are BFF, so he's helping him out.

Doubt it. Randolph will disappear now that he has a contract. They'll be in the same boat they are this year, competing for 6-8.

agreed...Its hard to go from surprising upstart team to contenders.....Just because the Thunder did it , doesnt mean it happens regularly...Ask Webber- led Warriors and Bullets...Ask the Carmelo-led Nuggets....Ask the Morey-led Rockets..

When Gay comes back, they'll back to their gay ways on the court.

You do realize players don't love their teams as much as us fans do right?

With Rudy Gay in the lineup, they can't keep up the same defensive intensity.
