He's injured. Even if he returns to 100% I still prefer Martin at his salary. What has Rudy Gay accomplished? How do you know he won't turn out like Iguadola and disappear in the playoffs?

Martin managed to average more points in the playoffs during his second year with Sacramento. I've seen his floor.

Oh, you mean like people projecting Kevin Martin, Scola and Lowry to be all-stars? We will have those guys and we'll have Hill, Thabeet, Williams, Patterson and this year's first pick who are all recent lottery picks plus we really will have some cap flexibility. So, by your logic then I guess we are fine too. Thanks out now feel better about our outlook.



BTW, realize that the all-star team doesn't pick by position. They will take a certain number of forwards rather than a specific number of small forwards and power forwards. You might want to add that fact to your projection.

In order for Gay to make the all-star team he has to beat out 4 or 5 out of this group:
Dirk, Gasol, Randolph, Aldridge, Nowitski, Duncan, Love, Griffin, Durant

Yes, pay the max for a poor man's Melo Getting Gay would be like having Rashard Lewis on your team. Decent player, overpaid as hell.

Not to mention that if Rudy Gay can get a max for doing .....whatever he did in his first four years in Memphis, doesn't Gasol also deserve one since he had a very good playoff run and he's in a position that's harder to fill? Have fun with that.

 

Who the hell cares about the Grizz or what they do? They took the Thunder to seven games, big woop. We took the 09 Lakers (much better team than the 2011 thunder to seven games too. The Grizz are lucky they didn't have to face the Lakers who wouldve smoked them in a seven game series. You won't see the Grizz winning a championship... Ever
