Didn't Messi take some HGH stuff when he was younger? Some illness or something?

Yeah he needed growth hormone for medical reasons, I think his body was not developing.

Are you trying to copy adeelsiddiqui now?

Everyone can see what I posted and the stupid nonsense above you are posting in response.

Keep your bitterness about constantly being wrong in the D&D.

Oh U both argue even here. I think both of you have a crush on one other

I rank Messi more than Maradona he hasnt won the world cup yet but he needs a real coach to win a world cup

He played at the same level maradona played at club level but far more consistently and with a lot less drama off field

He is still young, so when all is said and done, he can be one of the greatest or even the greatest ever. But it is far too early to tell. You cannot be considered for that if you have not won the world cup or at least made it to the finals, in my opinion. Not only has he not achieved that, he has actually been a major disappointment in last year's world cup. Germany crushed Argentina completely.

They lost to Germany because of the team overall play not Messi's they had a joke of a coach. I don't think its fair to judge a player on international success, because sometimes they're handicapped because of their countries football stature or the team overall ability, not exactly in Messi's case but for Ryan Giggs someone who I personally consider the greatest British player ever even though he never played in a major international or continental competition.

Maradona had a great international career but his club career other than a couple season's with Napoli hasn't been outstanding

Seriously? This is your reponse to disagreeing with me:

I don't know why you're mentioning adeel, I don't know what you're talking about there.

But I do think you seem to be angry. Maybe you are very passionate about Messi being better than Ronaldo for some reason? Who knows.

For the record, I'm not interested in debating it with you, but if you insist on carrying on this way then feel free.

You has to be kidding here. Maradona single-handedly carried a weak team Napoli FC to be the force in Italy and Europe while Messi is surrounded by star players and played for the traditional powerhouse.

For the record, I like Messi as a player a lot more than Maradona but fact is the kid has not accomplished anything yet in the most important stage(s).

Stop boring people here with your personal issues.

Even most Ronaldo fans would not claim that he is more skilled than Messi. He is more powerful, but not more skilled. You are in fact the only person who claimed that Ronaldo is more skilled, which is just an indication that you don't really know what you are talking about.

    Messi > Ronaldo soccer-wise.

    Ronaldo > Messi icon-wise

Not really sure why we are arguing this.

Ok, thanks for noticing that my opinion is not the most popular. Does this bother you or offend you in some way?

Stop trying to make this thread about you and me.

I stated my opinion on Messi vs. Ronaldo and have nothing to add, other than that I have seen both of them several times live at big stages and that Messi - at least on the club level - was usually there when it mattered. Ronaldo, not so much.

I'm allowing you to let it all out and giving you an opportunity if you'd like to explain why you are making such aggressive posts, if there is any reason at all. You're saying you're not angry, fine. Then there's nothing more to say.

Maybe you dragging your D&D anger here and using this opportunity to repeatedly hurl direct and indirect insults in a completely unrelated thread to anything in the D&D? I don't know, but honestly I don't care as long as you've finished with those types of aggressive personal posts, that's the most important thing.

Thanks for your opinion on Messi vs Ronaldo. I have no interest in discussing Messi vs Ronaldo with you. Just to be clear, if you're not making personal attacks + I have no interest in discussing the main topic with you, we're done talking here.

What does icon-wise mean? Why isn't Messi as iconic?

You keep talking about you and me (in another rambling, incoherent post). Just stop. This thread is about Messi and Ronaldo, not about your insecurity.

I think Messi is also the bigger icon, when it comes to real football fans.

I guess Ronaldo is more interesting for the tabloids (affairs with Paris Hilton and all) and certainly more flamboyant, so if that contributes to your understanding of why is more of an icon, I can see what you mean.

I'm not a fan of Messi (might be the only one here), but that's mainly due to the fact that I absolutely Hate Barcelona... and their diving ways. Not to mention one of their players was just fined for being a racist.

With that aside, what was he not developing as a child? Was it just his body as a whole? I've heard people say if it wasn't for the HGH, he'd be something like 4'6" and would be an average player at best today. Thoughts?
