you're not telling anyone anything they don't know. and if you could literally do that, that's a rock with more magic than the bullet that went through jfk's head. look up the word literally please or post a video of you literally throwing one rock and that rock hitting not just one, but five different burger joints.

Some will be the same people who've seen videos of people getting into fits and fights at Popeye's and other fast food places and think they're being ridiculous and "immoral".

But then they themselves will get in hour long lines with their own burger cult to the path to salvation cuz its "The BEST!!"

Went by there this morning around 11am and cars were being herded around the shopping center using roped off sections of the parking lots with signs that read "drive thru". I saw that and just left because people seemed to be confused. lol. Got some crawfish and crawfish etoufee today instead. I'll probably run by there and see what it's like for lunch tomorrow.

^I've waited half an hour on foot for a gd burger before at 1 and this was California. 20 minutes drive through wait at 10 PM!

Lunch is NOT realistic for this place.

    It's ****ing insane!

Save time and gas by going inside to order. A lot faster.

You must think parking there is easy. The videos and pics don't show the lines that are wrapping out the door. It's packed inside, too. :) You may save gas, but I'm not sure about time. Either way, it ain't easy gettin' a freakin' burger in there.

been in california for many years now, and the hype about in n out is a certified joke. I have eaten at the place over ,and over trying to see if I can find something that makes it special. there is nothing. animal style ? more like yawnimal styke. Even here in CA, there are lines down the street for in n out.

We have a big kahuna ,and a 5 guys that are waay better. heck even the carls jr burgers are about the same. Its a fad, and what better place to have it but in the land of posers known as dallas

Be happy those that live in Texas that overall the selection, and better overall food options in Texas. Nothing like the south when it comes to cooking.

and oh yeah whataburger is way better than in n out.

So.... I got in line this morning at In N Out (we won't talk about that...*sigh*). It wasn't as much of a madhouse when I got in, but when the churches let out and lunchtime rolled around, it was turning into a madhouse again. The drive thru line wasn't just a line - they had blocked off 100-150 (?) parking spaces in the adjoining parking lots to use as a buffer. When the actual drive-thru line got short enough, they let a row of parked cars enter and everybody else moved up a row. By the time I got into the line there were probably 60-90 cars parked waiting to get in the line, another 30 cars in the actual line, and for the people who didn't want to "wait in the drive thru line", there was a line coming out of the building itself that had to have another 50-100 people. An old lady driving around in the parking lot started screaming at one of the employees because somebody had given her the wrong directions around the parking lot thereby letting 5-10 cars get in ahead of her. There were employees all around the parking lot directing traffic and at least 2-3 security/police outside that I saw.

I got a double-double animal style. I knew going in it would never live up to the hype, so I wasn't going to be pissed. The burger was ok, but nothing incredible. Honestly, it tasted like a messier, much greasier/sloppier, Big Mac with the thousand island spread/sauce they use. The fries were blech - kind of stale, but fresh. I don't know how to describe them. Better than BK fries for sure, but then just about anything is. The fries definitely weren't as good as Wendy's (the old school fries - I haven't tried their sea salt version) or McDonald's fries. For the price, the burger was good. I'll probably just stick to a regular burger next time instead of a double. I feel as if I ate a midget since I don't eat hamburgers much anymore - I average about 5 a year.

    To me :

It was better tasting than Burger King, McDonald's, Whataburger, and the usual chains.
It was at least as good as what I've had in the past at Five Guys (only ate there once) and Carl's Jr. (I've eaten here 3 times and every burger is a suicide attempt, so I haven't been back in a long time) except it was cheaper.
I don't think it was as good as some of the better burgers I've had, but it was a lot cheaper than : Fuddrucker's (only ate there once), Cotham's Mercantile (in Arkansas), etc.
If you're in the N. Dallas area, people tell me this is a good burger joint : http://www.kennysburgerjoint.com/home.htm. For what they charge, it better be good. I've never eaten there, but once my body finishes processing In N Out a month or so from now, I'll probably try it.

If ever I just wanted a burger, I'd probably go to In N Out over the usual burger chains. Not a bad burger, not a great burger, but everybody I encountered as I navigated the line was pretty nice and the their service was as fast as possible considering the circumstances, so I'm not complaining.

Getting thousand island on your burger was your first mistake.

Disclaimer for people who haven't had In n Out:
Because of the hype the place gets people expect it to be the best burger they have ever had. Don't get your hopes up to much because it wont.

But....what it will be is a good burger with quality ingredients at a more than reasonable price that you cant find anywhere else in a fast food place. And thats why people love it.

Well duh. The bacon cheeseburger at Miller's is probably the greatest burger I've ever had.

You Texans just can't handle the fact that In-N-Out ****s on Whataburger.

So I will continue to piss you off.
