The Canadian rock band Rush reference worked for me. That was pretty funny. I was surprised to see it as I usually get wind of Rush stuff in advance. Spoiler They played a Canadian version of "Candle in the Wind" called "Flower Breaking Wind". Geddy sings: "It seems to me you lived your life like a flower breaking wind". This was followed by Geddy performing a Canadian fart. Even had the Neil character do a nice drum fill starting out...just like Neil is known for. Then, audience members started shooting themselves in the head...either due to extreme sadness over the princess kidnapping or having to sit through a Rush set (lol). Then, Alex shot himself in the head and Geddy bowed down to his knees crying while Neil just kept playing drums like nothing happened (the drums and show must go on).
Mr. Mackey is hilarious. He's right up there after Randy Marsh as one of my favorite characters. I will say though, I haven't really found this season funny but I will continue to watch
I love Mackey too, but his little hissy fits last night were completely out of character, its like they just wanted someone shouting obscenities for shock value
Co-sign. But then again I felt that way about last season until the "Creme fraiche" episode sorta redeemed it. Let's see how the rest of the season goes.
I liked this episode, a lot. Tons of retro characters. Ugly bob, Scott... "native canadians" was clever... and Mackey's overly serious, profanity laced directing of a kindergarten play was pretty damned funny... lots of gore and fart humor, pretty classic Southpark.
Man, is there nothing left in the writing tank for the SP crew? Tooth decay? Lame Eskimo jokes that no one can relate to?
Missed it this past Wednesday and just watched the uncensored version... Holy crap that was beyond terrible. Mr Mackey going nuts was completely out of character and forced. The whole royal wedding plot was simply stupid and offensive, especially the the character giant dick. Proving once again that TV shows made by white people will liberally use every racial slur except for the n word
That was the gag. Would you think Mackey sitting there going "MMmmkay" the entire time would be funny? After how many years of that? Do you feel the same way about Randy Marsh when they started giving him episodes where he went completely away from what he had been for years? South Park? Offensive? NO WAY. That was offensive to you? You know Scott is an older character, right? Was Ugly Bob offensive to you, too? ...damn, I just got trolled.

Agree. These people act like they've never seen the first 6 seasons of South Park. They probably haven't.
A Canada episode was long overdue. It was awesome. "And now the prince is trying to remove the princesses arm... as is the tradition. And... yes, the arm is now removed. Now the Prince is proceeding to shove the princesses arm up his a$$ as, of course, is tradition in the Royal Wedding." Haven't laughed so hard in a while.
