JVG's Knicks went to the NBA finals in 1999 as an 8th seed.

Thunder's offensive sets are absolute s***. No creativity at all.

Anybody who can't see the problem and continues blaming Westbrook after tonight needs their head examined.

Tony Allen wiped the smile off KD's face.

I'd really rather them not question durant. I'd be surprised if he doesn't score 28 or more points.

Grit and grind time to mount up Allen and Battier.

I like durant alot, but until he learns to use his size and make smaller guys pay, he's like a taller version of reggie miller. He's a catch and shoot type who cany really create for more than 2 dribbles. His lack of change of direction really limits him with the ball.

it seems like it's always the coach's fault when a team loses. obviously he's not a genius on offense (how many offensive geniuses are out there outside of adelman, but the fact that the thunder lack an interior offensive presence, all this team is is a perimeted-oriented team. pick and roll this, and pick and roll that. and if your best scorer is denied the ball, that makes it a whole lot harder.

in the playoffs, opposing teams will give up something: and they gave shots to perkins and those big men whenever the thunder want them to take shots.

sometimes it has to do with personnel too.

He kind of reminds me of Kevin Martin: When he's on, he's got the jumper working and gets to the line a ton by drawing contact. However, if the refs allow the opposing players plenty of latitude in getting physical with him, he doesn't quite have the explosiveness and power of, say, a Lebron James to dominate anyway.

i think he's a better version of kevin martin. reggie really couldn't create AT ALL and he couldn't get to the line like KD can.

i've said this for a while now. KD is a glorified kevin martin. both really prefer to go off screens and catch and shoot and get to the line a ton. both can create their own shot as long as they don't have the ball in the middle of the court and attack an entire defense. durant is better b/c he is longer/taller/and quicker.

but the thing is in the NBA playoffs, there will be more ISOLATION plays. guys have to create for themselves and others and that's why superstars are so huge in the playoffs. people always clamor: what the hell is wrong with the offense? why isn't there any movement? it's called the NBA playoffs. the grind of the game slows down to a halt for stretches of a game, especially in the 4th quarter. KD is a pretty good isolation player, but against great and physical defenders, he goes into a shell and simply becomes a jumpshooter. and you can say the same thing for kevin martin.

like i said, you want to know how kmart would perform in the playoffs? now you know by watching KD. they'll still get their points b/c they're so good, but certain defenders can completely shut them down.
