I'm in Vegas so I visited the Pawn Stars pawn shop. First off, it is really, really small. Like, it took all of five minutes to browse through everything that wasn't a t-shirt. The inside is about the size of an average pawn shop. Second, the people buying stuff are ****ing assholes, put a 10x markup on everything and think they are the ****. The guys at the counter, just some random people not the dudes from the show, probably thought they low-balled me, but gave me what i paid for the pieces. I had been trying to sell them for months to no avail. However, they were selling crappier versions of what I sold them for 10x what they paid me. Case in point: if you like Pawn Stars, do yourself a favor and never go anywhere near these turd nuggets or prepare yourself for a huge waste of time.
Wait...you're upset because you went to a pawn shop that is filmed profiting off of sellers, and then they tried to profit off of you and you're pissed? I am confused
Go to American Pawn in Detroit. Much bigger, always actions, and they Keep It Real http://www.americanjewelryonline.com/t-meetthecrew.aspx
Think he was expecting this... and got this..... Don't know where the high expectations came from....
Guys, I went to a McDonalds last week and was really disappointed with the quality of the food. I was expecting so much more.
So you mean he doesn't always know some guy who's an expert on things like Benjamin Franklin's underwear or what kind of toilet paper Abe Lincoln used?
i'm at a loss of words really. 1) on the show, you can clearly see how big/small it is. 2) It's a freaking PAWN SHOP, of course they will try to lowball you and sell things as high as possible. Tha'ts why you negotiate like ima referenced, it's like going to mcdonalds and then being upset that they aren't serving filet mignon
Let me call a buddy who is an expert in this type of thing with a ton of experience in bad stores and we will see if we can get this worked out ok?
I like this show better...they keep sh&t real... My cousin and I are going to Vegas at the end of the month and he wants to go to this shop...eh...i could care less...
 That's what she SA--ummm... no, not, er... this could go either way, but... what were we talking about?
