Why wouldn't Yao just sign with the Celtics right away; if the Rockets do no intend to keep Yao why would he want to help the Rockets and weaken his new team? Star players agree to sign and trade in order to make more money, Yao is no longer a star player and would not benefit finacially from a sign and trade.
Is it just me, or do these pictures make Yao look like a conehead? Specifically with all the teeth, and especially in the second picture...food for thought
You don't think Yao would help the Rockets out? Also, it would not weaken his new team if all we were trading for is a draft pick.
Yao will help the Rockets out by signing for dirt cheap, I doubt he would want to help the Rockets out if they were no longer interested in them. That draft pick could be used to draft a project or traded for a back-up C, of course it would weaken the Celtics.
Fixed, typed a little fast. ideally the Rockets would sign and trade Yao, but even if Yao wants to help us out I doubt the Celtics would.
