This is why so many players say the NBA is more a mental game than anything else.

This is why things like heart and confidence are so important.

It seems like since OKC took their best shot at beat them after they played their hearts out it, it got in their heads. Memphis looks like a broken team out there right now.

coming into the playoffs, clearly memphis is the underdog, you can overachieve for several games, but in the long run, the better team wins.....

that's why memphis is getting punched in the ass by the thunder.....

I hope they can show some fight next game, otherwise it would be a shame

dude they have missed like 12 point blank layups in this game. that's 24 points. they lost this game purely off of fatigue.

these 2 teams are evenly matched.

Wouldn't go that far. We'll know on Friday if that is the case. IMO, it's just fatigue. Grizzlies had no chance at all to win. Turns out OKC also won tonight's game by winning in 3 OTs on Monday.

Ball don't lie, after five games, i think it's clear that OKC is the better team, i doubt memphis, after the spurs series, will have enough juice to do it again...
i predicted OKC in six, i will stick to it....;)

how can you say that it's "clear" that OKC is the better team? memphis lost a 17pt lead in game 4 just FYI.

Yeah, the reason I say it's mental and not fatigue is because OKC played 3 overtimes too, and they look very fresh. Also, you can tell by how the coach was telling Memphis to "Get your heads in the game!" and "Compete!".

Kind of like when a boxer is beating the other guy and gains energy, while the other guy loses confidence and loses energy (because he has already lost mentally).

It can change, though. And that's why I said "right now", because going back to Memphis and pulling out a good win can do a lot for their team confidence.

both teams have played even. both teams have held big leads, and choked them. the score after 4 games was 440-438.

this game is an aberration b/c of the fatigue factor, which we all know would affect memphis more since their best player isn't the best athlete in the world.

The thunder have no chance on our court. They are going to try to win it in 7, and they might do it too.

That's already, next year let's see how durant likes guarding rudy gay.

MEM is a dark horse of this playoffs. Usually, dark horse won't go too far.

Seems like a pretty bold statement considering how close the last two games in Memphis were. Memphis is obviously in a pretty tight spot right now.

How many turnovers did the thunder have in the first quarter of the game? Yeah, they look like they are mentally superior.

    True, and impressive stats.

The only problem is that this is a pivotal game 5.....and the team that wins this game usually wins the series.

    But we shall see

i do agree that this will go 7, but in sports, there is no such thing as no chance.

i'm sure 100% of people thought the mavs had no chance of sweeping the lakers.

never say no chance in sports.
