If Kobe's better player than TD and Shaq, he's no doubt a top 10 player of all time. 54% of fans are dumb ass delusional Faker fan then. Too bad you don't make the call. http://www.nba.com/video/all_decade/2010/02/15/20100214_alldecade_kobe.nba/
So did Kobe. Gasol couldn't win one playoff game before joining the Lakers. Without MJ, Bull went from 57 wins the previous season to 55 wins in 1994, and Pippen was a serious MVP contender. Gasol was never in the same class as Pippen, yet Kobe was capable to make him a 2 time champions. Talking about winning with less. And remember a guy called Ariza that's so hot that Rox fans believed he'd be all star?
Had Kobe made 1,2 more shots in game 1&3, Lakers may be in WCF. He didn't come through this year, but he did the years before. It wouldn't make his numbers so much better, it only adds up to his rings. At the end of the day, Kobe has 5, Nique has 0, LeBron has 0.
Jordan didn't win without Pippen, coz his team was no good. Bulls didn't win regular season in his first 3 years. You don't get No.1 seed in regular season and cry for help, unless you are LeQuitter.
Let LeBron win 2 rings, have some proof of consensus in fans and media, like how Kobe won 54% of fans vote in player of the decade, and we can talk. Stats is only significant for Hollinger, and your talk is cheap too.
Jordan won because he has Pippen. Lebron lost because he sucks, chokes and quits. Kobe won because he grabbed 15 rebounds and made one clutch shot to save Shaq's ass Kobe lost because he has Smush Parker/Kwame Brown, Gasol is soft, Odom is dumb, Bynum is injury prone, Fisher is old, Phil Jackson doesn't coach blah blah blah. What else? Oh! Kobe is playing with an injured pinky! Excuse! Excuse! Excuse!
Lebron won 2 rings? Before that you would argue this is DWade Team blah blah blah! Now that Lebron has more MVP votes than DWade, you said have some proof of consensus in fans and media blah blah blah.
And lebron took a team of Pavlovic, hughes, gooden, and big z to the finals. Kobe wouldn't even make the playoffs with that cast.
As mentioned many times, LeBron won 50 games in 2007, would be No.6 seed in west, and got swept by No.3 seed Spurs in first round. He's fortunate to play in Least conference. And guess his record against 50 wins team to date? 2W5L.
Jordan won because he has Pippen. Lebron lost because he sucks, chokes and quits. Lebron won because he played in Eastern Conference Kobe won because he grabbed 15 rebounds and made one clutch shot to save Shaq's ass Kobe lost because he has Smush Parker/Kwame Brown, Gasol is soft, Odom is dumb, Bynum is injury prone, Fisher is old, Phil Jackson doesn't coach blah blah blah. What else? Oh! Kobe is playing with an injured pinky!Kobe played in Western Conference Excuse! Excuse! Excuse!
jordan had pippen. but kobe could have had shaq for 6 titles too. last time i checked, shaq >> pippen. but they failed against detroit then kobe was not able to keep shaq happy to stay. that's failure on kobe's part too. not only is kobe not as good on the court, off the court, he's a notch below too.
even true, doesn't hurt lebron in this discussion cause kobe played the 2nd fiddle to shaq. now, that's the concensus.
a very small minority think that. lebron was higher in MVP voting and made all-nba defense 1st team during the reg season. and he led the team more statitistical categories. and i'm sure lebron will rack up a few MVPs as a heat. however, wade is underappreciated. lebron is 1a, wade is 1b.
kobe is an overrated peice of **** ass n word who will never be on jordan's level of greatness even if he wins more championships than jordan in the long run. game 7 of last years finals was enough proof that even though kobe's a great player, he is still far from the best as far as all time greats is concerned. oscar robertson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> nobe
What player had ever won a championship without contributions from his teammates? Gasol is an all-star - he did his part last year. Artest made some timely contributions as well. To say that they carried Bryant to the championship is ridiculous. You can't even say that about Shaq because Kobe was almost as instrumental in the LA 3 peat as the big fella.
What other player renowned for his ability to close big games missed every single game-winning shot opportunity he had in a playoff run, had one of the worst shooting performances in Finals history in a Game 7 (drawing comparisons to John Starks!), and yet still won the Finals MVP and had everyone all over his nuts saying that his legacy was enhanced by his ability to play with better teammates than any other player in the league?
I disagree. I think people will always remember Kobe just because he was pretty much the closet thing to Mike.
Playing for the Lakers guarantees that people will remember and worship him as an legend....Unfortunately
