Checked out some sports documentaries. Lombardi 8/10 HBO's sports doc about him. Pretty good actually, caught it on HBO on demand. Tyson 8/10 The 2009 doc (not the bad 1995 movie) told from Tyson's perspective himself. Surprisingly good. I looked it up because I saw it get good reviews from critics when it first came out.
Ok so I'm a little late in seeing this... Limitless - 9/10 Really loved it. I wish the movie didn't end when it did as I kind of want to know what else and how high Edward Morra got in society. Maybe there'll be a Limitless 2 surprise just like how they came out with Hangover 2?
King's Speech. 10/10. Finally got around to seeing this. I really have no complaints and it deserved all of its awards and then some. Just great all around. I laugh at those who think SOcial Network should have won best picture. Green Hornet. 5/5. Not as bad as i expected but certainly not good either. A couple of cool scenes, i.e. Kato. Water for Elephants. 6.5/10. Loved the book and they stayed fairly close to it, but did divert at times. I was worried about gay vamptire guy playing Jacob but he didnt do as bad as i thought. He was still the weakest actor though. Pacing of the movie could have been better and it really lagged in the middle. Reese did well. I thought that August could have been a bit more dark.
Unstoppable: 8/10 Looked like mindless action fare from the trailers, but had some substance that I bought in to. Surprisingly good.
I gave it a 7/10, only slightly let down by the ending, but I agree with Xerobull... saw this over the weekend and was very entertained. Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, and Rosario Dawson all were good, plus non-stop action.
Thor: 8/10 For an marvel flick, it was pretty good...Good action, good characters, etc...Natalie and Kat were hawt...
saw this last night and it was pretty cool the best movie i saw over the weekend and i saw thor and fast five as well would give it the same rating 8/10
SOURCE CODE 7/10 i think i would have liked it more, if i hadnt read the reviews, and went in with high expectations.
I'll have to check out Source Code given all of the positive things said here. Jake G being in a movie always make me double-take, although I can't honestly say I've ever not liked anything he's been in. Watched Splice last night. I expected it to be horrible, but it wasn't. 7/10 (based on expectations).
Robin Hood - 6/10 - It's more like a prequel of how he became Robin Hood. The story was kind of weak and the action even more so. It was decent enough though I guess. I had already saved it on my DVR so at least I can delete it now.
Scott Pilgrim vs the World: 6/10. Visually interesting and some pretty funny moments. Michael Cera plays Michael Cera, but some pretty good performances by Kieran Culkin, Anna Kendricks, Alison Pill, Ellen Wong, Aubrey Plaza, and Chris Evans (hamming it up).
Black Swan: 9/10 very good film, Natalie definitely was deserving, what a great performance...The best movie of all time...ok, maybe not, but the scene with Natalie and Mila has to be the best scene of all time... i liked it alot!!
Just watched it too; very well done. Kicking myself for not watching this in IMAX3D; those flight scenes look breathtaking.
