I didn't want them to trade Myers this past off-season. Unless some team is giving an offer you can't refuse, I'd hate for this team to become the Royals constantly trading every above average player we have just to get younger. If Myers turns it around in the next month or so and there's interest at the trade deadline, I wouldn't have a problem trading him though.
The difference is we wouldn't be doing it constantly. We'd actually pay to keep the Carlos Beltrans and Zach Grienkes. At least assuming Crane or another owner doesn't go cheap on us.
I wouldn't worry too much about Myers... http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/6864/news;_ylt=AgG4WR0tbpfiON7o6NvC1wGFCLcF
I never thought that i would live to the day where the astros draw 8 walks in a game. Also to matt downs, wait to **** up that golden opportunity. You should have at least taken one or two more pitches, this guy couldn't keep anything in the strike zone.
Interesting, 6 players each had one 1k and the other 3 hitters went a combined 0-8 so far. God bless the Astros.
Nine walks! I spoke too soon. Also i think we figured out how to solve out closer problems at home. Just get a walk off run in the ninth.
Hunter Pence is an RBI machine right now. Only Berkman and Howard have more RBI's than him this season...and they've only got him by one. I heard the other day that he's batting around .400 with RISP.
