As always, no PBP in the thread. If you need that try one of the gamecast sites. Keep discussion to this series. If it is not about this series it goes somewhere else.

I predict we get crushed in one game, blow a save in another, and win one.

That would follow the formula. Except the one we win will be a blown save and win in the ninth or in extras.

Bourgeois placed on the DL with an oblique strain. Joe Inglett will take his spot on the roster.

WLW possibly, but more than likely a LLL sweep for the Reds

Should have left astros not capitalized in the thread title, not reds.

Escalona picked up the save today for OKC. 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA and 3 saves in 16 innings, all in relief. His WHIP is 1.13, he's given 13 hits, and owns a 16:5 K:BB ratio.

It was just a matter of time for Figgy. I really appreciate how he pitched last year, but he was getting hammered this year and he is the oldest guy on a team that is sitting in last place.

    Here we go again:eek:

Myers has been less than spectacular this year. Maybe they should have traded him at the deadline last year.:p 10th(?) HR already allowed this year by him.

And this is why you don't give a guy coming off injuries a nice contract after only half of a year of good pitching. The contract isn't Carlos Lee bad but the opportunity to move him was there for decent prospects and they took the opposite approach.

Honestly, after Myers started out so good this season, I was ready to call him the next Curt Schilling but instead wanted to see him doing it for a full season again. Hopefully he can regroup and increase his trade value so the club can get at least one decent prospect at the deadline.

At this rate, I get the feeling we'll be seeing Escalona in a little bit...
