    Jackson thinking to himself:

Hmm... Kobe is getting old. Artest lost a step. Gasol is a wuss. Bynum is officially brain dead. It's time to get the heck out of there. Hey, retirement is a good excuse. Who says you have to stay retired when the Knicks or the Heat are firing their coaches? Wait, what if Dwight goes to LA? No problem. I'd talk to Buss and pop right back out in Staples Center.

to be fair, I think Colonel Sanders has earned himself the privilege of jumping around to any team he wishes.

I don't think PJ is coming back. But if he did, going to the Knicks next summer would make sense.

his bread and butter is managing big personalities and talent, why would he waste his time with a rebuilding team?

If he wants to prove how good he is let him go coach in Cleveland or Minnesota or Sacramento or Toronto. He will never do it because that would expose him for what he is, average.

People always denigrate the talent that Phil has had, and have said stuff like "I could coach Jordan to a ring." It's a load of crap, because Jordan has no reason to listen to practically anyone because of how great he was. The fact that Phil was able to prevent a talented roster from simply tearing itself apart ( something which eventually happened with Shaq-Kobe) is a testament to his genius. He has no value to a rebuilding team whatsoever.

there is a reason he has 11 rings. Their is a reason no other coach in the era is close to that... it's not just luck and skill.

That's a pretty ignorant statement. An average coach doesn't win more rings than you have fingers. Like any successful person Jackson had some luck along the way but he wasn't given an NBA job right away and he wasn't spoon fed championships. You don't have to like him but he'll go down as the greatest coach ever over Red even IMO.

Who are they before/after being coached by PJ? Have any of them ever got a ring under any other coach?--(except shaq behind Wade by Riley)
