On point. Even last game Z-bo wasn't efficient like he was against the Spurs. I knew Ibaka would give him trouble but didn't expect Collison to give him problems.

Little league? Is that some kind of league for school-aged children in America?

I play in a league organised by the gym at my university.

Well, seeing as that didn't win the game, I can think of Steve Blake's three to win the game the first game of this season against us.

In 6 years, nobody will be thinking of Kevin Martin when watching KD. He's still developing and has a ways to go. Of course they have some similarities, but that isn't saying much.

again, this is where you're getting into player A > player B. we make comparisons between players all the time in the styles that thye play. obviously no 2 player is exactly the same.

it's like people comparing tracy mcgrady to george gervin, or kobe bryant to michael jordan. it's simply talking about the "styles" of play of those players. it doesn't mean that that player is better or worse.

    Stupid?

Yeah, sure, whatever. But just because their skillsets are similar doesn't mean they have to be in the same mold of player.

For all their criticism, Westbrook and Durant showed a lot of heart tonight. Westbrook did force a lot of shots in the fourth and early overtime, but with no one else creating, he stepped up. Durant also stepped up in closing out Memphis in the third overtime.

Huge props to Harden and Collison though, they were the reasons why OKC won. Harden stepped up with his defense and playmaking and Collison played solid D on Randolph all night. Wish Ibaka played way more than he did tonight because he knows how to position himself to guard Randolph, despite being weaker.

Overall, a great team effort by both teams... Thunder got HCA back, but I see them taking this in 6 (hopefully). Here's to an epic game!

Well I did say he is a better version of Martin. I don't think they are exactly alike since I think Durant is the better player.

Their games are very similar though it's just Durant is the better player. They both get to the line a lot by selling the foul on the perimeter instead of getting o the line like LeBron,Wade, and Westbrook who go hard to the rim.

The effect Perkins has had on Ibaka since going to OKC has been huge. It can't be emphasized enough. He's taught him to guard without fouling as much and other fundamentals. The biggest effect is that Ibaka plays full-time PF.

According to alot of the pundits, Collison was thought to be the better defender versus Randolph and that Ibaka is a much better weakside defender than he is a 1 on 1 post defender. Not sure about any of this, as I dont watch Collison or Ibaka near enough to know.

Speaking of the Spurs, I didnt understand why they didnt just stick Duncan on him instead of Gasol, whom while a handful and a beast himself, wasnt the primary threat.

And thats abouts where the similarties end.

KD is a much better rebounder.
KD commands double teams, K-mart doesn't.
KD is a much better defender.
    KD doesn't flop like K-mart.

    Need I go on?

Yes it's stupid. I'm comparing two NBA players.

You're comparing LeBron James to whoever the hell you are playing at some university and you're using my logic to do it like I have watched you play before.

Seriously one of the dumbest points ever. Congrats

Yeah the team seems to think Perkins has changed the mindset of the team which is good. As for Ibaka, Scottie Brooks is lucky OKC won tonight because his decision to leave Ibaka out for so long was mind boggling. When I saw Ibaka on the bench I assumed he had fouled out until he went back in when Perkins fouled out.

I don't know what you quantify as "pretty good", but I put up the stats.

So do you think you can drop 30 on the walk-ons of the actual team of your school?

You can compare K Mart and Durant's game for sure.

But saying Durant is a taller K Mart is not comparing at all. It's saying their game is exactly the same, which is not even close to true.

memphis is now part of 2 of the most amazing games in the playoffs: spurs game 5 and tonight.

props to both teams. one of the best games in recent memories.
