I heard a quote earlier from Spencer Hawes or AI or somebody on Philly saying the Boston Celtics make team plays and the Miami Heat make talent plays. I only somewhat agree with that. Boston has great chemistry and has run plays together for awhile. But...that's completely undermining Miami's team plays and more importantly disrespects Boston's talent. Paul Pierce makes amazing difficult shots. Ray Allen is the best 3pt shooter in the game. KG is a 6'11" guy with a 20ft jumper and smooth post moves. Rondo is a horrible shooter, but amazing at everything else. Boston is full of talent. The talent tree in this series goes: LeBron, Wade, Pierce, KG, Rondo, Allen, Bosh, Delonte West, Glen Davis, then Miami players.
Who, other than the poster anchel? Nevermind, I know: you think that everyone who has ever uttered criticism of the Heat or Lebron actually "hates" (sic) the Heat and is "mad" (sic) when they win. So treat my question as rhetorical. Series would be better if Rondo and Shaq were healthy, but the Heat should have won it in any case, and given the collapse of LA, there is really no excuse for them not to win the title this year. I just wish they could look like they enjoy playing basketball. They share that with LA -- just a grimness, a heaviness, like nothing could be less fun than playing NBA basketball.
you got to give props to spoelstra. he finally ran the pick and roll with wade and lebron. he's still a terrible offensive coach but that was a smart move.
You are 100% wrong on this and with the new rules you don't have to have your feet set. Lebron beat him to the spot and Pierce lowered his shoulder.
The question of the 11' playoffs has become: Can anyone stop the hated Heat from winning it all? Unfortunately I think the answer is no.
It's the same as what the superfriends think about themselves. Remember when Wade said opposing teams should thank them for filling their arenas whenever they come into town? Or the fact that the world is now "happy and a better place" now that Miami Heat lost? Ut's only natural that homerish fans behave the same way their stars behave.
the first two meetings were very early in the season and the heat werent nearly as good as they are now. when you are the worst rebounding team in the league you probably should not be trading a tough, hard nosed big for a soft jump shooting one, especially with shaq being injured. the celtics simply have not looked the same since the trade. this series should be done in 5. heat role players will shoot much better at home.
Him an haslim was supposed ta be da backbone of da team behind da big3. Wat a bust! He did mess up his hand tho, that has a affect on a shooter
Yeah I know. That tells you how ridiculously good Lebron and Wade are. The Heat look like the best team in the league right now and favorites to win it and their supporting cast is just horrible and Bosh I guess is "decent"
I was just thinking that last night while watching the game, I thought to myself, "I can't remember the last time this guy hit a 3...."
Game 4 was a weird game. The Heat's depth was even more exposed (if that's possible). You knew it was James, Wade and Bosh who are getting the ball, and yet they won down the stretch. And Celtics offense turned to crap, walking up the ball, and no ball movement. Good D from both sides. It was strange.
