    sorry so late in replying...did not see the question asked of me. the scoop is mike brown did not want to interview unless they told him he was their guy before the interview. did not want to be one of a lot of people to interview. so he decided to turn down the offer to interview.

    Being turned down by Mike Brown is about the same as a D-League prospect telling us 'no thanks' when offered a contract. At least in my book.

    my feeling is that the mchale story was planted to see what the fan reaction would be. i have to feel that justice was leaked the story but i have no first hand knowledge.
