If you bet the line in craps, it is a 50-50 proposition. That is the game I know that the House is not favored.

Even though the House has an advantage, I mostly play BJ, since I actually enjoy playing the game.

just went to a casino on Saturday... they only had $10 tables and I hate playing at anything less than a $25 table b/c I get stuck with newbs who do stupid **** like split 10s against a dealer 3 or hit on a 14 against a dealer 4...

i was ready to strangle everyone around me after 15 minutes of that ****.

i finally got up and just played craps for the rest of the day.

Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat. Roulette/Craps is often most fun for the social aspect. I also enjoy 3 Card Poker.

I think the reason a lot of people don't play craps is because there's a certain style of playing. You'll notice that most craps dealers have a stuck up and arrogant attitude. They also tend to mumble repeatedly when speaking what rolls have occured. Another issue is that there are a lot of players and people just watching. Chips are flying all over the place. These reasons intimidate most people.

I play a lot of Roulette. Just keep doubling down on black or red once I see a streak of 3 or 4. Max I've bet is on 9 black in a row. Had to bet $1600 on the 10th and luckily it was a red. Crazy rush. :)

I always seem to have the most fun playing Roulette. Don't know why. I know it's as suckers bet but I enjoy it the most. I'll play some blackjack, but nothing over a $10 table. When I'm in Vegas, I won't play cards on the strip unless I'm at one of the places like Imperial Palace.

I'll crap away some money on slots, too, just for the fun of it.

Are you talking about taking odds or the actual pass line? Because the initial bet on the pass line the casino has a 1.41% advantage. Then after that initial bet the only bet in the casino that they don't have an advantage is the amount of odds you lay after that bet.

This. The odds bet is the even bet, so if you double or triple your line bet on the odds bet, you can really reduce the house advantage.

Depending on how much you want to play, always put the minimum amount on the line, then maximize the odds.

Example, if you want to play $20, play $5 on the line (if this is within the table minimums), then play $15 on the odds bet, don't play $10 and $10.

Craps, in my opinion, is the most fun game in a casino, especially if you have a fun group of people playing. I highly recommend playing online to learn, or take the casino class that they often offer in the mornings at a lot of casinos.

When I'm on the strip in Vegas, I'll usually find a good penny poker machine with a decent payout (they are actually different if you look closely enough) and play for as long as I can on the same dollar. Tip the cocktail waitress the first drink she brings you and she'll remember where you are and take care of you. So you can get like 5 or 6 drinks on the same dollar. You can end up getting pretty tanked for less than $20, tips included. :)

I'll actually play at the tables if I'm downtown on Freemont. It's a little more laid back and less intimidating than the strip. And less crowded.

But in the general scheme of things, does it really matter? For every time someone has done an unorthodox or 'not by the book' move, that has ultimately hurt me, there has probably been an equal number of times where it has helped me.
