Watching Kobe over this season and especially in the last 3 games makes me realize how Boston let the Lakers off the hook in Game 7 last year. They should have won that title....just needed offense. Damn Ray Allen....
The ran out of gas in the 4th quarter. If Doc Rivers had played his bench a little more in the 1st half, the Celts might have pulled it off. He gambled that his 6 guys could handle the extra minutes in one final game, but he lost. One could argue the tight rotation was why they got the lead and controlled the game to start with. Another problem was the Celts were so uncompetitive in game 6 after Perkins went down, they didn't force the Lakers to expend enough energy to win that game. Celts were the best team last year but them's the breaks.
Actually the Lebronses were the best team last year. Lebron was on another level and demolishing the Celts before the West scandal broke out. Shaq, Floppyjao and Antawn Jamison should have been enough to tangle with Pau Gasol. Like you said though, them's the breaks.
Cleveland was the best team last year until Lebron hurt his arm and his teammates screwed him over and screwed his mother. Kobe did have an awful game 7 tho.
Shoulda woulda coulda. Every team deals with injuries. Give credit to the Lakers, they won that year and deserved to win. What Kobe did this year has little to do with last year.
They had 15 point lead, Kobe was crap. It was theirs but they lost. Still, Lakers were better that's why they won. As simple as that. Better usually wins.
worst back to back *champs* ever.. you forgot about the million fouls in game 7 favor of lakers. It was ridiculous and still is. joey crawford game 7 finals mvp
