Then the league is truly a farm system for the Lakers.

I'm honestly thinking that myself. Seems like every franchise dumps one of the best big men in the league to the Lakers. I would not be surprised if Dwight Howard was traded to the Lakers.

small markets invest everything into these players with potential, if they bust then that franchise takes the hit...if they become superstars then they grow as players in the small market only to leave to the big market once they are in their prime :( :( :(

    not good.

lol so people actually think the Lakers absolutely humiliated themselves in this series so they can get Dwight?

but if Magic don't accept the trade for Bynum, they would get nothing when Dwight leaves Orlando and joins Lakers. At least Magic could still get something (Bynum plus future picks), otherwise nothing in return. Go figure ...

LMAO look at the money tied up into the Lakers players salaries. They wont be able to sign him outright. No matter what, if he wants to go to the Lakers, the Magic can get something for him in a sign and trade.

In all honesty they should trade Bynum and change for Chris Paul. The Lakers can live with Gasol and Odom playing a lot of minutes in the front court but you can't expect the continually trot out Derek Fisher for the next 3 years (that's how long he has left on his contract) and expect to win. Now I'm not blaming Fisher for the Lakers getting swept but Paul, IMO, would do much more for that team than Howard would.

All about the new CBA. Hard cap and franchise tag (or other rules to block future Melo dramas) mean Lakers crap out.

And I fully expect Gasol to be gone, not Bynum.

The Lakers couldn't have gotten Dwight Howard without losing this series 0-4? I don't see the logic.

Kobe's got maybe 2 more all star years left.

Is Howard really going to bet everything on that?

the lakers will always have talent. kobe leaves, they'll get another wing player with the quickness. before kobe, there were nick van exel and eddie jones to hold it down before kobe became who the kobe we all know.

I think Howard avoids going to the Lakers just to dodge the Shaq comparisons.

Why would Orlando trade to the Lkaers for garbage when they can trade with the nets?
