The ponies just had flashbacks about the Golden State series and took it out on the Lakers. They're still gonna get ass kicked by the Griz/OKC though. Probably OKC... but the Griz will do.
I thought Portland were going to knock Dallas out? I thought the Lakers were going to knock Dallas out?
Look at all the Nostradamus coming out of the woodwork 5 minutes after the series is over. Hindsight 20/20, fellas.
Yeah but we don't proclaim ourselves to be "NBA experts" like they do. They couldn't call the Spurs/Grizzlies, Magic/Hawks, or Lakers/Mavs. Their were at least handful of people picking the underdogs in the voting before the series began, especially Spurs/Grizzlies, yet most of the 14 "experts" had them out in 5 games. Hollinger "the stat genius" had Lakers winning in 5. You've got to admit, it's pretty humorous.
They are NBA experts because they break down the game. Now whether or not they do that well is all opinion. They are not NBA psychics which is what some of you are acting like they claim they are.
You could need a psychic if it was a 4-3 or a 4-2 series. If its a sweep, then its just keeping your blinders on.
So you had the Mavs sweeping the Lakers? Funny thing is when people was picking the Lakers before the series nobody said hey you got your blinders on.
You're missing my point. If a team sweeps another, then they are clearly the better team. Its not the predicting of a sweep, its predicting the other team will win easily. And im not talking about the average fan who has not kept up with Dallas or the Lakers. These are guys who get paid to give their opinion.
I get your point and I disagree with it. Just because they are paid to give their opinion does not mean they should have predicted that Dallas would win this series. Plenty of people had the Lakers winning this series. Just because they swept the Lakers doesn't mean the experts had their blinders on when picking the series.
Anybody who says after the fact that they thought Dallas would handle the Lakers faster than the Blazers is a liar. That game wasn't just Dallas hitting on all cylinders, what we saw yesterday was the Lakers crumbling.
