After the 'realization' that we are not going to get a big name coach sunk in, some of these guys actually look pretty good. At least I'll be able to watch a team that plays defense. I liked Adelman much better than I expected to, but I am sick of watching the ball go straight to the cup unmolested.

I wouldn't blame Adelman on that.

I would blame our inept defensive Scola and 6 ft 6 center.

I don't fault Chuck Hayes though, he has had the task of guarding Centers and rebounding against centers, when his natural position is a PF.

Exactly, our defense under Adelman was solid back when Yao was healthy.

You can add Martin and Budinger to the list.

I do hold RA responsible. I'm OK (well I understand) big men breaking down Chuck Hayes. 6'6" can only do so much, and Chuck did all that can be done with that. What bothered me was too many guards going in alone. Way too many of our opponents getting past their man. Yes it would help to have a big man to clean that up, but we certainly could do a better job of staying with your man or having somebody else rotate over.

When the Heat's frontcourt were bad they had better and taller defensive big men than Chuck Hayes but none were over 6-9.
