Continuing the war will, but we're banking on more losses for them than us.

If Middle Eastern leaders weren't such douchebags; maybe we wouldn't have to worry about them financing and supporting terrorists behind our backs. Not to mention Pakistan stole the remains of the secret US helicopter tail and probably sold them off to one of our enemies. **** nationalism, **** religion, **** unity. Bunch of ethnocentric ****s, us included. I'd love to live in a world that is not filled with unconditional hate.

CASEY is right... Osama is dead, the - end. Had there been a trial, then this would be dragged back into the spotlight and there would be threats to free him, etc.

Obama wanted Osama dead (I don't care what he says) .. and he got what he wanted... I for one do not feel bad for him in the least, and do not think that LONG term more people will die as a result.

Maybe, but the books are balanced and we need to move on. He stole a whole damn decade from us, made an already corrupt and childish political culture more exhausting and all-consuming.

If his location tells us anything it's that he was still running the show.

There is your error. Al Qaeda has never been passive since 9-11 but all the times their plans failed or were stopped did not get the media coverage their successful acts did.

No doubt it will, but as others have pointed out by now it would have cost lives even if he wasn't killed.

they told us for years that osama was irrelevant - that he was not involved in any way in any day-to-day operations or planning. now they kill him and claim that he was indeed involved in strategery and planning and that we should all be very afraid b/c he was planning something big.

you would think that the police state would be eased back when they killed the boogeyman, but instead they are ramping it up even more - calling for more checkpoints, more TSA, more searches.

the government wants us all to be very, very afraid.

how so? osama met all his objectives a long time ago - brought financial ruin to our country, made the rest of the world hate/resent us and turned us into a police state where a bunch of TSA/glorified mall security cops can sexually molest little kids and take naked images of your body.

where is the victory? america has been fundamentally changed in the last decade and its never going back to what it was. we lost.

our government has a decades long history of supporting terrorism and overthrowing of democratically elected regimes and supporting brutal dictators.

dont be surprised when it comes back to bite us in the ass.

Since every person alive will die at some point, the net difference of Osama being killed, tried or still at large is zero.

Yes! It is a victory when we get rid of a killer! Do you want him alive, so he can continue his terror! With 911- of course America had to changed it's security protocol- it's annoying, BUT I rather be safe before, during, & after my flight! My wife & 2 small kids travel over seas almost every yr & I don't mind the security! These ****ty, coward terrorist won't stop trying to destroy us, so we have to be vigilant, & unfortunately it's NOT cheap!. I'm sorry that your scared of a police state". Did someone really "molested" you or family during a domestic or international flight? If so, why don't you report it to the cops? I'm happy that we killed a filthy animal!

I'd like to take a quote from a wise character from the original Karate Kid movie.

Mr. Miyaqi says "Get killed anyway". No matter if we killed Osama or not, we were bound to receive another terrorist attack or attacks one way or the other.

"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." - Ben Franklin

if the procedures already in place were properly followed the "underwear bomber" would have never boarded that plane (and 9/11 would have never happened). but instead of ensuring in the future that they follow established procedure they decide they need to take naked pics of everyone and grab little kids crotches.

imo, people like you are the cowards.

im sorry you are not scared of a police state. i wish all the unamerican freedom haters like you would move out of this country - maybe saudi arabia might be more up your alley?

if the patdown i got last time i flew happened to me on the street the person who did it would be charged with sexual assault. but we allow a bunch of wanna-be mall cops w/ not even one tenth the training of your average police officer to molest us.

you dont pay much attention to the news do you?

Did you even try to understand my post? -There is a big price to pay for security! And name calling someone you don't even know, & hiding behind a PC makes you a big COWARD! I'm sure people felt violated, but unfortunately this is the result of terrorist & 911! As for Police State that you seem to FEAR, try living elsewhere- maybe you will finally understand the meaning of a police state! Like I said, I travel abroad often & fortunately for me & my family didn't felt "molested"! We kinda like the peace of mind. Maybe you should just stay home & not go out becuz the world is too "scary" for you & hide behind your PC all day!
