I think that would be unfair. Most credit should go to Thomas Jefferson for pulling through on the Louisiana Purchase. WHAAAA WHAAAAAT!
Khamenei is getting odder by the second. I just read an article claiming that he said 'Ya Ali' at birth. SMH
How cool would that be? Bin Laden - gone Ahmadinejad - gone (?) Gaddhafi - has anyone heard from him since that bomb attack that killed his son, but that he supposedly survived?
It's not even that he's just a crazy guy. He's just flat out a bad leader. Iran's economy has taken a nose-dive since he took power. A country like Iran imports tons of oil now because Ahmadinajad let the ancient Iranian refineries continue to rot and fail. He's wasted tons of money on worthless subsidies and has more or less handed out money to buy votes. He's completely messed up government privatization schemes and has routinely handed out contracts and bids to well connected friends. He's a corrupt idiot with no concept of economics and has decided to appoint friends rather than intelligent people to run the country's finances. Iran's economy is more or less broken today and Ahmadinajad deserves a lot of blame for it and I wouldnt be shocked if that's a reason why he's getting the boot. I think the real issue is that he keeps doing things to challenge khamenei's power but his mismanagement also is a problem. Aside from generating tons of international anger, he's just bad at his job and the level of corruption and incompetence in government is at an all time high. So good riddance, not only because he's a lunatic but he's ruining his country's economy in the process.
