Oh, I was just saying that that movie is a good example of his height, for example, not really negatively impacting what he can project on a movie.

    Bronson was friggin' awesome.

Hardy's a diverse actor. I wouldn't worry about that at all.

Telling you guys, Bane will look completely different then what we've gotten used to. Nolan will make him into the criminal mastermind/genius, almost Lex Luthor type, he becomes later in his story. I doubt you'll see a mask or venom but will see someone smarter and stronger then Batman. This Bane will blow your mind, trust me!

Ra's and Scarecrow wanted to destroy Gotham, Joker wanted pure and simple chaos but Bane will want to DESTROY Batman with no limits.

    Details on shooting schedule.

    http://www.batman-on-film.com/batmovienews.html

Here's a few details about TDKR's shooting schedule from a very solid, longtime source...

    * The shoot in India is a short one.

    * Filming in Pittsburgh is only going to last about 3 weeks.

    * Back overseas for a shoot in the UK and then probably headed to NYC.

    * Most of the filming looks to be taking place in LA -- studio/soundstage work he assumes.

Also, another longtime FOBOF ("Friend of Batman on Film") tells me that the film's official synopsis could be coming soon. And since so many of you have asked via email, I have heard nothing about a viral campaign for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Of course, that doesn't mean there will not be one.

I would be shocked if that's what it is. The previous 2 batmans didn't have a magic element to them. In fact, they were grounded in reality as much as possible.

Major Spoilers considering shooting in India.

    Second Picture from India

Plot details of shooting in India.
    http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/.../A-Knight-to-remember/articleshow/8206893.cms

On Monday, Christian Bale, Josh Pence and Christopher Nolan left India in a chartered flight, having shot for 'The Dark Knight Rises' in Jodhpur.

Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale's date with India got over on Monday morning, when they took a chartered flight back from Jodhpur to London. Both Nolan and Bale had arrived in India on May 4 and had shot for "The Dark Knight Rises" in front of and inside Jodhpur's Mehrangarh Fort on May 6 and 7. Accompanying Bale on this India trip was Josh Pence, the actor who was digitally superimposed with Armie Hammer's visage to portray one half of the Winklevoss twins in David Fincher's " The Social Network". Pence was recently cast as young Ra's Al Ghul and is one of Batman's greatest enemies.

Incidentally, a green screen was created just outside the Fort. Nolan shot in front of the green screen and used the Fort as the backdrop. Sources say that this backdrop of the Fort has been used to establish that Batman is in an exotic location which is isolated too. However, this backdrop isn't meant to be shown as India in the film. Back in the UK studios, this 30 ft x 30 ft green screen will be digitally modified to create the Lazarus Pit. For those not in the loop, a Lazarus Pit is used by Ra's Al Ghul for gaining restorative powers. Scenes of Bale being carried into the pit and then jumping out of it were also canned. A couple of locals were cast as extras in the scenes that were shot in India.

However, it was not all work and no play for the cast and crew of the film. "Despite the intense heat, filming
continued without a hitch and the unit was satisfied with its Indian experience. The unit is supposed to have complimented the professionalism of the On The Road production unit handling the Indian leg of the shooting. On Sunday, the unit had a day off. So, Bale, who was accompanied by two children, took an autorickshaw ride in Jodhpur. However, no one really recognized him since he was wearing a cap and was sporting a beard. Besides, the whole team also went shopping. Bale bought textiles, shawls and pashmina from Jodhpur. The team also loved Indian food that was served to them during the shooting," says a source.

On Monday morning, around 9.30 am, Nolan, along with the cast, left for the UK. The rest of the film will be shot there.

Well well...could we see Bane break Wayne's back and thus Batty will need the pit to fix himself? The flashback scene could be where Wayne finds out about the pit from Ghul.

Bane saved Batman from being shot by King Snake, although he was mortally wounded in the process. To return the favor, Batman then saved Bane by bathing him in a Lazarus Pit and left him to his own devices.

So there's a guy going around saying there is no Lazarous Pit. Describes Bane's origin. Personally I like the possible plot that's been posted a couple posts above from yesterday instead of this one.

    http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Has-Bane-s-Dark-Knight-Rises-Origin-Been-Revealed-24609.html

With a batch of set photos from Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises finding their way online earlier today, I can't imagine it will be too long before Warner Bros. begins an initiative to shut down the leaks from the source. If the snapshots weren't enough, then this story should get something going.

"Official 'The Dark Knight Rises' community", the same Facebook group that launched the photos, has a new post up from group member Lester Fernandes that not only potentially reveals what they are filming in India, but a major plot point as well. According to the post, the chroma key pit that has been revealed isn't the Lazarus Pit after all, but rather a well that a "bald-headed child wearing ragged clothes" steps out of. Based on speculation, the post then offers up the possibility that the child is actually a young Bane who is "emerging from a vat of Venom," the steroid-like drug that gives the character an incredible, inhuman amount of strength. What's more, the Fernandes suggests that Bane has been trained by Ra's al Ghul, who will be played by Josh Pence in the flashback sequence.

I must admit, this makes a whole lot more sense than previous assumptions, even if it ends up not being true. The Lazarus Pit is simply too magical for the hyper-real universe that Nolan has established, while Bane being trained by Ra's would be a great plot point and would help establish the conflict between him and Batman. Again, it may not end up being true, but it's an interesting idea.

I have a very difficult time believing that Christopher Nolan, who has worked so hard to create a Gotham universe that is as gritty and real as it can possibly be, will now insert something as magical as the Lazarus Pit. I just can't see that happening.

I'm a spoiler nazi...but that's gray area. Speculation based off of speculation of spoiler pics and unconfirmed accounts.

Would have been better served with tags, though.

Add me to the list of folks that would be surprised if "all about the real" Nolan added in the Lazarus Pit. If he did, I'd bet money it's not a real working miracle healing fountain of youth.
