but he won a playoff series couldn't help myself

 

he creates shots for others. he had 10 assist tonight and 10 last game.

he's their best player and the center of the bulls offense. blame thibs for a predictable offense set around one player, not rose.

and stop always bringing up t-mac.

 

also some of the blame has to lie on boozer he just has not performed up to expectations in the playoffs

 

it pisses me off so much seeing stars who struggles as much as rose did and win a playoff series so easily. tmac put up all-world #s and can't even win one in his damn career. sighs.

rose should be better than this that's all i'm saying. he's playing mediocre baskeball. he has played 2 teams who had no business slowing him down. this is all on him. the pacers and hawks aren't "great" defensive teams by any stretch of the imagination.

 

i agree, he is playing below his standards that he set from the regular season but then again the playoffs expose players weaknesses and offensive schemes due to the days off and specific planning of defensive schemes.

i think rose is to blame as well as thibs. i like thibs too and think he's a great coach but the playofss imo are exposing flaws in his philosophy.

 

So I was looking up Josh Smith's shot chart in the playoffs the other day.



Turns out he's even worse than I thought.

It still baffles me anytime people want to trade for this guy.

 

u could have seen this coming after the all-star break. people said i was hatin' then. he has really become inefficient this year, esp for a guy who has the ball as much as he does.

 

while rose is not shooting the ball well now in the playoffs his efficiency was decent throughout the regular season

 

he shot 40% after the all-star break. i predicted this would continue in the playoffs. teams are forcing him to take Js, and he's taking them. and he has this mirage in his head that eventually he'll make them if he keeps shooting them. and he said it himself, "i'll keep taking those same jumpers" or something along that line.

so expect this type of shooting to continue for the rest of the playoffs. he'll have a hot game once or possibly twice (highly unlikely), but it's going to continue to be ugly.

he has this allen iverson mindset right now, but he's not as good as allen iverson.

EDIT: any other superstar player would get destroyed if he played like drose right now.

 

rose shot 44% after the all star break. his efficiency this (regular) season has been on par with kobe.

thibs wants rose taking those shots so rose is going to take them because the bulls have very few offensive options.

the main difference is rose is not getting to the free throw line. those lanes that he had during the regular season are getting shut down and thibs has yet to make an adjustment.

i understand the criticism with rose but then again how is thibs avoiding criticism as well when is offensive system is getting exposed in the playoffs.

 

i thought rose was shooting 40% post all-star. i forgot he had 3 really hot games to close out the season that boosted his fg% (esp that 13-17 night vs orlando)

they won with defense and rebounding. they never won with offense in the reg season anyways. that's why thibs is not getting any criticism b/c they're still doing the things that helped then win during the reg season: defense and rebounding. it's not like their offense was lighting it up in the reg season.

thibs' problem is that he is allowing rose TOO MUCH freedom. if your best offensive player is shooting 37%, gotta think something is wrong. there is no rationale for rose to keep jacking up 7-8 3s a game, esp when you're shooting it at a sub 20% clip. he has to reign him in.

all i'm saying is he's playing as bad as i have seen for a TRUE superstar in the playoffs. playoffs is where you supposed to "elevate" your play and he has dropped with a thud. and he's getting away with it. even michael wilbon said he "saved" chicago in game 2 vs the hawks, when it fact it was all defense and rebounding.

like i said, the bulls won with defense and rebounding during the reg season. and the same things are happening in the playoffs. they'll most likely go to the ECF with rose shooting a sub 40%. can you believe that?

and there's nothing wrong with that ankle. he's not getting to the line b/c he's not looking for contact in any of his drives. and he still shoots the 3s.

 

I must be hearing things because I thought I heard the crowd saying MVP.

 

the hawks don't rebound, they will not win. they gotta man up and get those boards.

look at all those red shirts - all bulls fans. hawks fans are weak; not even sellout for a semifinals

 

That is the weirdest thing I've seen in a game. The crowd boos and says "MVP" at the same time.

 

the hawks are aware that rose likes to drive right? because they keep ignoring him like he's just gonna pull it out if they don't look at him.
