As always, no PBP in the thread. If you need that try one of the gamecast sites. Keep discussion to this series. If it is not about this series it goes somewhere else.

5-6 Wandy Rodriguez, LHP (1-3, 4.26) vs. Paul Maholm, LHP (1-4, 4.14) 6:05 on FSH

5-7 Bud Norris, RHP (2-1, 3.03) vs. Charlie Morton, RHP (3-1, 3.52) 6:05 on FSH

    5-8 J.A. Happ, LHP (2-4, 6.23) vs. James McDonald, RHP (2-2, 6.75) 12:35 on FSH

I wish they would move Hunter to left, Bourgeois to right. Fewer balls would find the turf, but maybe Bourgeois just doesn't have the arm to play right on a regular basis. It is amazing that Bourgeois is tied for first in SB while only being a part-time player. Just leave Carlos Lee out of the lineup permanently.

The money is spent on Caballo, right? This is like when I sit in a movie and realize it's mindless drivel. I freaking get up and leave. I already wasted my money paying for that crap, must I also waste my time sitting through it?

Cut fatty. See if he can catch on somewhere where he can be designated hitter and/or designated donut eater for some contending team.

HAHA...Yep, thought the same thing. Defense is better and offense has another dimension. If Carlos was still producing his power numbers then you could live with his lack of defensive range but if he going to be a slap hitter then it's time to move on.

I would love for Jason to out there on a regular basis causing havoc with Bourn for Pence, Wallace and Johnson but 18 million per 2 years tell me Caballo will be in LF again soon.

You gotta think some contender will want to trade for him near the deadline, So you pretty much have to "showcase" him I think. Even if he does mediocre, because of his past production some team will take a chance like the Yankees did with Berkman last year.

He'd have to waive his no-trade clause. I think in the past, that has been an issue... he's too comfortable here and doesn't want to leave.

THAT IS PART OF THE PROBLEM.

One of the all-time worst signings in Astros history... and the sad thing is many here were clamoring for a "big splash", or "drayton needs to spend money", or "we need more offense!". Well, now you see the repercussions of such short-sighted moves...

Exactly what Nick said. Unlikely Lee is traded imo. Lee has limited no-trade clause.(14 teams he could reject a trade to). Just gonna have to ride this horse out(pun intended) for the final 1 1/2 years(is it?). Lee is ready to take his bat & ball and head back home to his ranch.

Just cut him. The money is already wasted, it's already gone. Why waste the games, too? "Bad business decision," you say? Yes. Yes it was a bad decision. Can we move on already?

    Love that analogy.

Maybe Wade is afraid that if they cut him, he'll get a personal trainer and get into incredible shape. Then he'll go to the Cubs and hit .400 with 10 bombs in his first 6 weeks.

The Pirates are hitting .199 and scoring 3 runs a game at home so far this season.
