Why is Xavier only 10 years older than Cyclop's younger brother (Havok) in this? Their is already a continuity problem.
They've basically ditched any kind of continuity from the comics. Unless there is a MAJOR swerve in the movie, Havoc will be Cyc's OLDER brother in this Xverse.
Haha...I'm a comic book geek/fanboy of this stuff and it just bugs me to no end when studios do this to some of my favs. Not really a Marvel guy outside of X-Men and some Spiderman so some of the stuff they've done to Iron Man, Hulk and apparently to Thor/Cap America doesn't bother me to much but tidbits like that do annoy me somewhat. When Burton was going to basically re-design Superman a decade ago, I had a major nerd attack... :grin:
Trailer looks significantly better than the pictures that leaked, I'm sold. Beast looks terrible, that's the only problem I have with the trailer. Beast looks like he should be on Sesame Street.

I'm good with re-imagining and going away from the comics....so long as the road doesn't end in the toilet like it did with X-Men 3. So, just trying to unfragment the trailer for myself: The First Class = Moira McTarrget Banshee Hank McCoy --> Beast Havok (I have to wonder if they kill him) Mystique? Hellfire Club = Shaw, Frost, Nightcrawler's dad with Pixie as their resident stripper? Mystique....starts off with the X-Men and hooks up with Nightcrawler's dad in the Hellfire Club? Hellfire Club looks to recruit Xavier/Magneto and drives a wedge? Cuban Missile Crisis climax....Ends with Magneto going his own way and taking Mystique along with him? I noticed Riptide is going to be a character...he should be a pretty lethal villain, but it doesn't seem like they are going for any "openly" villain types in this film. Is that him (long dark straight hair) when the Hellfire club kidnap whomever that is? There's also a "man in black" listed...and I saw some rumors about Mr Sinister.

I saved Havok for last bc he was one of my favorites, and the other two were pretty good. But my god they have Havok gyrating? It's plasma from his arms not ricky martin unibeams!
The characters look great. I'm actually looking forward to this film. But who is the Girl that is in all the trailers (and i'm talking about which Character not which Actress)
Isn't Havok supposed to the Scott Summers younger brother? Just wondering how that fits with the rewritten continuity in the movies. Also isn't Banshee supposed to be Scottish? Whoops see someone brought that up already.
