I own the PS3 and my housemate owns the Xbox, so I play both. Exclusive games wise, I prefer PS3's, and blu ray was the selling point for me. But XBL is much, much better (albeit with a cost, plus tons of kids playing), and the Xbox controller is more comfortable to use. Since you're into online FPS, Xbox is your best choice.
I just remembered you said something about still needing to play games like FF9. In that case, definitely go with PS3...or PSP...or PS2...or PS1 I guess. FF9 >>>> any CoD. Or really any recent FPS IMO. And I'm not even the biggest FF9 fan. Of course, I'd rather play Final Fantasy Mystic Quest than generic shooter #15.

I don't know, did you make the chart? And the question of what video game system to buy is going to differ from person to person. Age, family situation, everyday use, etc. etc. are all factors to a varying degree. Some people might want a casual option. Some people might be interested in Move or Kinect. Some people might be interested in the PSN or Live Arcade (ie less than $40 offerings). They are all video games. That chart is the same old list wars stuff that you see on every video game forum. I have all three systems and a nice gaming PC. Every one of them has different pros and cons and as such the recommendation is going to depend on the person. Anyone who tells you otherwise is simply playing the same ol' console wars game.
No, why? The picture only included core games, not all games. Are you saying this is a bad list because it didn't include all games? Thanks for your opinion. Allow me to share mine. I see a lot of good games in the list. The ones I care about the most are: Skyrim, Batman 2, Mass Effect 3, Portal 2, Tekken X Street Fighter, Diablo 3, Heros of Might and Magic 6, Dota 2, Killzone 3, The Last Guardian, Uncharted 3, Ratchet and Clank All 4 One.
Because that's who I called a fanboy. Anyone who 'cared about the games' wouldn't just pimp one system and ignore whole groups of genres and content. And what's a 'core game'? Both The Sims and Ar tonelico? Ghost Recon but NOT Call of Duty? E3 is coming up, how would that list be useful when stuff hasn't been announced yet? How many of those games are actually going to be out in 2011? That list is neither 'useful' or clear. Nor does it help anyone looking to buy a system. It's fanboy fodder, and whether you want to admit it or not is irrelevant. console wars are so sad. smh
Uncharted3 is going to suck? Little big planet 2? Infamous2? Once again, my recommendation is if you play 15+ hours a week of multi-player online (regardless if it's FPS, fighting or what not), probably get Xbox 360 with $60 for live. It's really REALLY good at what it does. If you are interested in different types of games , PS3 exclusives have some amazing experiences imo. If you have the cash, get both so you're covered on both fronts.
Everybody knows CoD, Need for Speed, FIFA are getting released every single year, there is no point listing any of them. Of course new games are being announced and announced games can be delayed, no list stays valid forever, if you have any updated information, please, share it with everyone. but PLEASE Dude stop caring/talking about fanboy warz please.
