another reason the lakers are losing (and i think it's their main reason) is the lack of penetration.

they cannot beat any of the mavs off the dribble right now on the perimeter. as a result, kobe doesn't draw any double teams and the mavs' bigs get to stay home and match up with pau and bynum straight up.

if kobe was 2 inches taller, he would stop dirk with ease. but he's not. and you have odom (who is outweighed 20 lbs) or artest (who's simply too slow) or gasol (who is even slower)

"In what universe is Pau/Bynum longer than Haywood/Chandler."

The universe where alligator arms Dirk plays 40 minutes...

Artest is too slow to guard Dirk?

(He guards Durant pretty damn well for being so slow)

The bad thing for the Lakers is there are no extra days off and these teams go at it again Friday and Sunday. They have one practice tomorrow to fix the bugs.

And Bynum decides to publicly toss some gasoline on the fire. Not smart.

doesn't have enough height dirk just shoots over him. he is the most physical defender against him though

KG has never bothered Dirk. Dirk dominated when they met in KG's prime.

b/c durant is weak as hell and struggles vs physical play. dirk is a legit PF. plus, dirk has 4 inches on artest and can shoot over him easily.

the lakers simply don't have that guy who matches up with dirk. and only a few teams do. that's why he's so good.

The Mavs will sweep or win in 6. No way it ends in 5.

Chemistry issues. He should have kept that in the locker room, and discussed his feelings with his team....and NOT to the media.

But, I'm loving it. Lakers imploding...started with Ron "dumbass" Artest

I know. That's what I'm saying. When KG was in his prime and Dirk was still kinda growin' up, Dirk dominated their series. KG had no answer.

I think it's silly that the other dude was suggesting KG would somehow be able to slow down Dirk so many years later now that KG is in the twilight of his career and Dirk is playing the best basketball of his career.

    33 ppg on 52% FG, 15 rebs and a 3-0 series win.

KG has slowed him down in some games and better than most, but Dirk has gotten the best of him more times than not, especially when he became a premier player.
