I have seen a couple of fake pics claiming to be Osama Bin Ladin several times here and other spots in the web but there is good reason to be careful about receiving anything claiming to be a pic of Osama Bin Ladin's death or body. Especially since the White House has said such pics will not be released.

Security experts are warning Web-surfing consumers about a rise in cybercrime and scams related to Osama bin Laden's death.

Know of an Internet crime? File a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center, otherwise known as IC3, a partnership among the FBI, NW3C and BJA.

Major news events are often accompanied by an uptick in cybercrime, as perpetrators seek to take advantage of Web searches for content such as pictures and videos. It was also a problem during this recent high-profile wedding.

"The reported death of Osama bin Laden is just too good a lure for cybercriminals and scammers to pass up," wrote Dave Marcus, director of security research for McAfee Labs, in a blog post.

Marcus said emails are circulating with links purporting to lead to photos of bin Laden's corpse. One message teases to a video showing bin Laden disproving his death by holding a newspaper with Monday's date. Clicking on the links generally opens files that install malware (what's that?) on the user's computer. In other cases, cybercriminals have poisoned Google Images results.

This major social networking site is also a fertile breeding ground for these scams, with malicious links being circulated on posts and messages within the site. Researchers at Kaspersky Labs said they noticed scam ads on Facebook promising free merchandise in celebration of bin Laden's death. Users who click on the ads will be redirected multiple times, with each layer asking for more detailed personal information.

Experts at Websense said cybercriminals compromised the website of Sohaib Athar, the Pakistani (find Pakistan on the map) information technology consultant living in Abbottabad (find it on the map) who provided a real-time account of the U.S. operation via his Twitter feed.

Do most of you actually believe this story of OBL?

He wasn't hiding out in caves, but in a mansion.

We kill him, take pictures of his dead body, and before DNA test come back confirming it's OBL, we throw him off the boat into the water which is strictly against their culture.

We then tell people the pictures are too gruesome to release to the public, but just trust us on this ok?

    I mean come on....

They needed one of two things, or both:

    1) To take the peoples attention off of the birth certificate issue.

    2) Buy alot of the public's votes with this OBL story to vote for Obama again in 2012.

Word has it, and this comes from alot of insiders at the white house, that OBL died in 2002 and he has been put "on ice" to promote the faith of our people towards our government.

The only thing I can't believe is that you waited 3 days before posting on this subject. I, for one, am SHOCKED that it took you this long to come out of hiding (pun intended).

Don't you think Bush would have taken him off the ice when he had a 30-something percent approval rating?

no way the republicans would have sat on that no way no how

lets just put it this way the chances of the government coming out and revealing aliens existed was higher than the republicans keeping the deal of OBL under wraps for 6 years

Collectively, no. Bush had far less supporters accross the boards then Obama. Alex Jones goes in depth on this hoax.

And apparently, Osama has died 9 seperate times. So we should believe our beloved President now? Right?
