They're starting a family...she's pregnant. All of their family lives in Colorado, just north of Denver.

I keep telling her that Houston fans will embrace a good center like NeNe and that we have more upside than the Nugs at this point. That team is going to be ripped apart in the offseason. I don't think they would have made the playoffs with that roster before the Melo trade.

So I guess she just would rather not move anywhere in general and it's not a Houston specific thing (or is it)?

Anyhow, smart move, if they move to Houston, fans will really appreciate Nene, but Morey would trade Nene, his wife AND their baby as assets. :p

for the money he would want, i'd rather pay Tyson Chandler. If Dallas makes a deep run, Cuban may pull out his check book for Chandler and make him untouchable and untradable.

No, it's not a Houston thing at all. They're just comfortable in Colorado. When NeNe is healthy, that jumper can be vicious. Plus, he just wants to play with a winner.

From what I've heard, the locker room is a mess. It's a bunch of egos with little cohesiveness. He's disengaged himself from most of the Denver guys because of this.

No joke. Talk about being taken for granted. Martin's an ideal No. 2 weapon in the offense once the team gets a No. 1. His efficiency's fantastic. He does need to be surrounded with players who can play defense, but he's a special player -- the kind who don't just fall off trees.

Was this before or after the Melo trade? If it's after, it's kind of funny since the story of the post-trade Nuggets was supposed to be that teamwork and cohesiveness allowed them to play better than anyone expected...

Pass on Nene. He doesnt do much as far as rebounding and protecting the rim. He is a good defender in space, but his price tag and where the rockets are isnt a good mix.

Well said. Not to mention, both can defend their position, childress is a really good ball handler while gortat outperformed Nene this season once he got consistent time in phoenix.

Getting nene plus Dalembert will significantly upgrade this team with Martin and lowly. Yes we need a SF, but a lineup with Dalembert at the 5, nene at the 4, ? At the 3 (I like Jeff green it Wilson Chandler), Martin at the 2, and lowly at the 1 is a hell of a line up.

For the 17 mill that we paid yao, I think getting nene and Dalembert for about 22-23 mil gives us all we need.

Clippers won't let Deandre Jordan walk. He and Blake are the only reasons why people go to their games. Unless he just wants to come play for us then it ain't gonna happen. I'm concerned that he will be another Kelvin cato, even if no one wants to say it.

A good off season haul for dm would be any 2 of the following:

    Nene, Jordan, Dalembert

    PLUS 1 of the following:
    Wilson Chandler or Jeff Green

    That's all we need.

    Wish List Lineup

    Deandre Jordan
    Nene
    Wilson Chandler
    Kevin Martin
    Kyle Lowry

    Or

    Dalembert
    Nene
    Jeff Green
    Kevin Martin
    Kyle Martin

The last lineup is a better all around line up, but the first one is better for the future.

lets see how aggressive DM would be recruiting this offseason..remember, we've got competitions in acquiring a starting C for our team..even those in the playoffs are threats...BOS, MIA, NYK, POR, etc. would all be still looking for a reliable C.

To me, its howard or bust. Nene is just solid. Hell, if healthy, Kaman is a better player in every aspect. Nene at 12m when the rockets neeed a dominant force at some point. He's not going to attract williams either. So, the rockets will be a 50 win team that has no shot at a title.

No chance Dalembert gets more than $10mil.

I could see Morey going after Fesenko, but the guy is a backup, let's not kid ourselfs.

That not how it works though.

The Rockets would be lucky to have $12mil under the new CBA. Under the current CBA the Rockets would have about $7mil of capspace.
