Must've watched it 8 or 9 times as well - which is about as long as a feature-length film.

 

Thankfully, I don't know anyone personally that is as much a religious nutjob as the chick in the short.

 

I don't think the chick in the short was written as religious per say, although I certainly know religious folks like that.

 

She represents irrational thinking, both in terms of religion and alternative thinking.

I consider myself pretty rational but there's always a place for irrationality. It often leads to ill-advised and un-calculated risk taking, which may lead to scientific revelations, if only one in a million.

And yes, I know a few religious people like the girl.

Yes, but I did not get an overly religious jive from the video, that's all.

 

I'm sure they didn't make it too obvious just so they don't garner too much controversy. I see your point though, she just seems like a run-of-the-mill hippie.
