Will DM go hard after Nene now that he's considering opting out based on the recent article?

I wished I could believe Nene was sincere about leaving Denver because he is underappreciated. However, after his remarks during the season, I think this is just a ploy to get a max contract out of the Nuggets.

But....if there is indeed a breech, then I would give them either Scola or Martin for him in a heartbeat.

You think he's worth $12-15M range? Even though he'd address a big need, I don't think the timing is right for that kind of contract.

Chandler and Dalembert will command the same kind of money.

I see Morey going after Fesenko again. Didn't we make an offer sheet to him last time? Well, Utah's going in a different direction and Fes is unrestricted this summer.

Would they really want either guy? They definitely wouldn't want Scola.. maybe Martin, but I'm not sure.

I think they would take Martin in a heartbeat if Nene truly wants out. Besides, he's more than just an asset. He's a human being. With feelings.

Why is everyone so quick to give up Martin. For a 2nd tier center?

Why? We have 2 PFs capable of starting (Scola, Pat)

    Because he's big and tall.

Nene is a top 5 center in the NBA.

    Dwight
    Bogut
    Noah
    Cousins
    Nene
    Brooks Lopez

He'd make us very, very good. But alas, I think he's just positioning himself to get a max re-up from Denver.

So that we can score 75 pts per game next season, and have a starting center that is like 3 inches taller than Chuck Hayes! What exactly are you confused about?

Would have been nice with Adleman. We could have run anyone out of the gym. Too late now.

Hopefully NOT! NENE is a second tier Center with limited IQ.
Please watch him play, he certainly is not a STAR player!:p

I love Nene, but him opting out doesn't mean he doesn't want to be in Denver.

I expect him to sign an extension soon.

I think DM would be interested. There was a report that the Rockets asked about Nene earlier this year in case Denver was going to go the full rebuild route after the Melo deal so I assume they still are interested.

He is one of the most efficient offensive players out there and has a rare combination of size and quickness.

Led the league in FG% I believe.

Moving him to Center and Hayes to PF upgrades both offense and defense. Trade Scola for an upgrade at SF and we would be in business.

You're right that it improves the offense. Not too sure about how muchbof an impact he makes defensively. Dont like it.

So, who you gonna send out for him? Patterson, Miller, and Thabeet?
