Mavs have been an elite team for pretty much his entire tenure in Dallas, I'd say he's doing better than Les has been doing the last 10 years

On the replay it looks like Gasol the softie just fumbled the ball.

Yup Kidd fouled Gasol on that last play. Hell the Dirk and Gasol foul was something the refs let go a lot of the times.

Laker/ref conspiracy theory folks can rest good tonight then again like you said they will say this was just throwing us off:p

That's not really saying much. Les last 10 years as Rockets have pretty much sucked when it comes to playoffs success.

Ask any grizzlies fan and they'd say Marc, without question. Pau is soft.

The Lakers have had the worst postseason PG play, hands down. Fisher's entirely inept off the bounce, forcing the Lakers to create elsewhere -- off double screens, isolation plays on the perimeter, low-post action with Gasol and Bynum. His only major plus is his management/understanding of the Zen Master's triangle offense. Imagine if LA had a cat-quick guard with the ability to attack the paint and drop dimes -- they'd be untouchable. Gasol/Bynum/Odom would get a ridiculous amount of dump offs at the rim, and it would free up perimeter opportunities for Bryant/Artest/Barnes. Fisher's a non-factor, and Kobe's receiving the ball 30 feet from the basket, forced to attack his man one-on-one. His shots were falling tonight, but he may not be so lucky throughout this series. They HAVE to go back to their bread and butter -- low-post dominance.

imo he is the bigger douche and the better owner. He just wants to win and I do admire him for that, but I hate the fact that dallas exists. Just sayin that city is a classless dump.

Bryant isn't the same bryant, Pau isn't playing like he normally plays offensively and DF is slow and terrible at the point.

The lakers are primed for an upset.

Yeah the way he keeps that team competitive year after year, and the loyalty he's earned from his franchise player, is admirable.

And while his personality may rub me the wrong way sometimes, I can't fault him for the passion he shows for his team. Sorry if that makes some Houston fans here vomit a little in their mouths.

Anyway, I can't believe Dallas pulled this one out.

Its pretty sad, you can't count Kobe to be clutch this year. He has really looked old for the first time in his career. Keep it up and he will be in the Lebron's class of unclutchness.

Any chance the Mavs won the first 2 games and only to choke and lose in the next four?

do you have a stat for last second shots for players? i would assume that most players have a really poor %.

clutch isn't just the last shot to win or tie a game. if the game is close in the 4th going in 5 minutes, that's clutch time. both kobe and dirk were very clutch tonight.

you can't say kobe wasn't clutch b/c he missed ONE shot to win the game. those are the toughest shots to take and make. there's a reason you don't see game winners for weeks or months at a time.
