Based on that, it sounds like the Revs were pretty intent on keeping Benny unless a team was going to drastically overpay for him. I can't say I blame them.

Former Dynamo related, but did anyone see Brian Mullin slide tackle at a Seattle Sounder? Nasty. The dudes leg was snapped in half it looked like. It pointed in directions where it's not supposed to.
^ I'm so #*$^%#@($^% pissed I will miss PAT ONSTAD's return (as coach)... I'll have to DVR it. Dynamo vs. DC United Friday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. Kid's Night / Friday Night Fireworks presented by Statoil Promotional item: Soccer ball
I just saw that video. Mullan should be suspended for the season. What he did has no place in humanity, let alone soccer. Then he does an interview where he said he was sorry but that he'd do the same tackle again. Glad he's no longer part of the Dynamo.
Yeah, that tackle was BRUTAL. He made no effort to go for the ball whatsoever. It was full-on into the side of the leg of the Sounders player. He really should be suspended for the full season.
Not Dynamo related...but MLS related. We should all pull for Real Salt Lake tonight in the 2nd leg of the CONCACAF Champions League Finals. Get a chance to take down a mexican team and represent the MLS and the region at the World Club Championships...with a roster making less than 1/2 of what David Beckham makes in salary alone. I watched the 1st leg and I was impressed by RSL. They are a team that doesn't get rattled easily. They stayed calm and got that 2nd goal in injury time. With 2 away goals, monterrey is really going to have to go forward if they want a chance to advance. If RSL sticks to their game plan and doesn't get involved in what will likely be yet another mexican team playing dirty, they should win the Cup. It will be tougher for them with Beckerman out tonight due to cards. I think they'll manage, though. RSL seems to be a team built much in the way the Dynamo were...not really any huge stars...just a lot of solid players that work hard and play very well together.
A tough heartbreaking loss for RSL but still a very good run in the CCL. This reminds me of the Champions Cup semifinal against Pachuca in 2007 where the Dynamo were that close to making history. I really hope that the Houston Dynamo or any MLS team can win in Mexico and the CONCACAF Champions League tournament. As for Real Salt Lake, I think the people in Utah have found a good sports franchise they can cheer on other than watching the Jazz suffering and struggling. Plus, RSL has won more championships (2009 MLS Cup) than the Jazz (0 NBA Titles)
Anyone going to the game tonight? I believe it's our only nationally televised game. Koke should see the pitch, at least as a sub and Charlie Davies is in town. Should be a good one, I'll trying to get in on the tailgate somewhere.
Apparently Onstad may not even be the backup for this game. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/dc-uniteds-pat-onstad-ready-for-full-time-return-to-coaching/2011/04/28/AFFdM48E_story.html
A good win by the Dynamo and 1st place in the East right now. Check out the Dynamo facebook page http://www.facebook.com/houstondynamo, and look what they are putting a billboard in Dallas. The same can be said about the Rockets (2 NBA titles) and the Mavericks (0 NBA titles)
